Autumn is our favourite time of year. Warm days give way to cool nights, and with the change in season we find ourselves naturally reaching for red wines again.

Vintage is underway, and the whole place feels alive - fruit arriving from the vineyard, ferments bubbling away, and the unmistakable aromas of the season filling the winery. In the cellar door, warm light pours through the stained windows as we welcome you to the bar, where you can slow down with friends, take in the atmosphere, and experience the sights, smells and stories behind Tscharke Wines. I recently had the privilege of capturing something unreal at Tscharke Wines - The Underground Experience

Truly unlike anything in the Barossa. Descending the stairs feels like entering a real life Bond villain’s private bar. Time ceases to exist as the unique intimate experience unfolds.

If you’re in the Barossa, this is honestly an absolute must.

Barossa local Wade Kingsley — better known as Mr Dahlia — shares a little of the story behind his passion for flowers and how @thehiddenflowerfarm came to be.

After serving in the Australian Defence Force, an injury sustained during a combat exercise meant Wade needed to rethink his future and find a new path. What began as part of his rehabilitation soon grew into a love of growing flowers — and ultimately a thriving flower farm in the Barossa.

In this short reel, Wade reflects on how the experience changed his perspective, reminding him that life is both fragile and precious.

"Flowers aren't here forever, but they bring that sense of joy. Instant joy — that's what it's all about."

From vibrant dahlias to seasonal native blooms, every bunch is grown with care, purpose and plenty of heart. Stop by the stall for a chat with Wade and take home a little piece of that joy.

Here's a little preview of our recent Winter Seasonal Long Lunch... and what an incredible afternoon it was.

Our sold-out event celebrated the very best seasonal produce from our Barossa Farmers Market stallholders, thoughtfully prepared by an outstanding team and paired with the region's finest wines and beers. It was a true celebration of local food, local producers and the community that brings it all together.

On the weekend I had the privilege of photographing the most humble, heartfelt wedding of Kylie and Todd Bishop, alongside two of my favourite people, @acacialanefilms and @rhee.armfield.music.

The weather was perfect, the food from @slate_restaurant_pikes was incredible, and a couple of Rieslings didn’t go astray. All in South Australia’s best kept secret: the Clare Valley.

If you ever wanted a wedding party full of energy, this was the group.

I’ve worked alongside Kylie and Todd many times over the last few years, so I was incredibly grateful to be the one capturing their special day.

My first and last wedding of the season. Not sure if I’ll do more in the future, but this one lit something in me… maybe ❤️❤️

There’s a different kind of beauty to the markets in winter.

Steam rising from fresh coffee, baskets filled with seasonal produce, slow Saturday morning conversations, and stallholders bringing the very best of the season to the shed.

Our winter seasonal shoot captured some of those simple moments we love most about the Barossa Farmers Market — community, connection, and incredible local food shared on a chilly morning.
