What a beautiful day! The sun is shining, there’s a nice cool breeze, and no mosquitoes! I got some last minute Sweetgrass picking in, there was almost a constant flow of Sandhill Cranes flying overhead and some curious lil calves came over to say hi. #grateful by @acahkosiskwew

In October 2024, I had the honour of traveling to Montreal to receive very special markings from the incredible Julie Docteur @liminalmarks .This blast over chest piece was inspired by my connection to bird women. It became even more meaningful when I learned that Julie also shares a deep connection to bird women, this made our collaboration feel deeply aligned and all the more special. I didn’t capture the entire tattoo in this photo, the tail feathers of the bird extends down between my breasts.

Julie’s craft and technique are truly next level, she created such a safe, grounded, and supportive space throughout the whole process, it was an experience I will carry with me always. It is incredibly empowering to carry this medicine on my skin as I journey through this lifetime continuing to heal and transform. So grateful for you Julie!

Solvi shaking off some snow. Last week it was like spring and here we are today with pretty heavy snowfall, high winds and temps reaching in the -30’s degrees Celsius. The horses seem pretty grumpy and I don’t blame them! by @acahkosiskwew

Winter is in full swing over here, temperatures are dipping into the -30’s (degrees Celsius). We are doing our best to make sure all our animals are as comfortable as possible during this cold snap, and My cat Brik moves through the cold and snow just like his otherworldly self. by @acahkosiskwew
