Radical care, shared resources, relentless action.
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
During Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we are shedding light on how interpersonal violence uniquely impacts disabled survivors, experiencing abuse at 2-3x higher rates, facing disability-specific control tactics (like withholding care or devices), and navigating entirely inaccessible support systems.

Standard safety plans and shelters weren’t built for us, so we have to build community-led frameworks that are. Swipe through to learn the realities, unlearn harmful norms, and see how we can demand true safety for our people.

Check the resource folder in our Linktree for guides, research, and tools.

Thank you @alif3rnandez
for providing this valuable information and resources!

Our very first mutual aid project is officially here and we could not be more excited!

Between the high cost of living, heavy medical expenses, and the everyday reality of the disability tax, the holidays can be brutal. So much of the time, disabled folks are expected to pour energy into others while struggling to afford things for themselves.

That’s why we’re launching Clearing Crips’ Christmas Wishlists! We love alliteration, so we kept "Christmas" in the title, but want to make it clear: all winter holidays, traditions, or lack thereof are celebrated and welcomed here.

Want to chip in? Please donate IF and WHAT you can using the link in our bio. Every single amount is GREATLY appreciated!

Need your list cleared? In a few weeks, we’ll drop the submission form for disabled community members. As always, no proof of disability will ever be required.

Let’s raise some funds, get our people the items they’ve been needing and wanting, and spoil our community the way they deserve. 🤍

Link in bio to donate! 🔗

So... what are we doing? We're a collective of disabled people mobilizing against the attacks on our communities and the communities we love.

Our work will focus on uplifting marginalized communities, including but not limited to disability, immigrants, BIPOC, LGBTQIA, and low socioeconomic backgrounds. This collective is built by us, for us. We are not waiting for the systems who have always failed us.

Swipe to the second graphic to see some of what we're planning to do, though this list is just the beginning. We will fundraise and secure grants for mutual aid support, distribute supplies after emergencies in our chapters, build care webs for people to have their daily needs met, protest online and in person, host phone banks to put pressure on politicians, and build vibrant community events. All of this, and MANY more ways to organize in an accessible and effective way.

We absolutely cannot wait, and we're so excited to dive into the work we are deeply passionate about. ✊🏽🤍

Care is a promise. Action is the commitment. 🤝

Introducing the Access and Action Collective. We’ve come together to bridge the gap between community needs and tangible support for marginalized folks. We believe in abundance, not scarcity, and that our collective survival depends on sharing power and resources.

We are laying the groundwork right now and have big things on the horizon. We are building something necessary and beautiful, and we want you with us.

Follow along for updates on our launch, upcoming projects, and how you can plug into the movement. 🌿
