Still processing this one 😭🎬

Being Heumann is officially opening TIFF on September 10, and somehow I’m also on the Apple TV poster. You can spot me in yellow in the background, which is honestly surreal to even type 🥹🙃

Being part of this film, even in a small way, meant so much to me. Judy Heumann’s work changed the world for disabled people, and I cannot wait for audiences to experience her story.

So much love to Ruth Madeley, the heart and star of this film, and to Siân Heder, the incredible captain who brought it to life with so much care. The women that you are. 🥹

World premiere at TIFF September 10. Coming to Apple TV November 13.

I had someone comment under one of my videos lately saying “Thank god that would never be me” (Under a video about my wheelchair)

“Never?!?!?!” 🙄🧐

That level of certainty is fascinating 🤨

Let this be your reminder that disability is one of the only communities any person can become part of at any point in their life. And yet so many people still treat accessibility like it has nothing to do with them 🙃🫠🥲😩
