Rabri is a sweet, condensed-milk-based dish, originating from the Indian subcontinent, made by boiling milk on low heat for a long time until it becomes dense and changes its colour to off-white or pale yellow.
One of my go to dish!

Savoring the delightful combo of posto and sorsho bata with fish and paneer! A few months back, a friend asked me to make bhapa fish with mustard and poppy seed paste. It was my first attempt, and surprisingly, it turned out great. Nothing quite like the classic Bengali love for posto and mustard! 😊🐟 how can Bengali lunch be complete without begun Bhaja, dal and dim :)

I have always taken immense pride in my heritage and held it dear to my heart. Although I am Bengali, I was born and raised in Assam, which is why I identify more with Assam than Kolkata. Returning home and reuniting with my high school friends is a truly celebratory experience. Food is our love ❤️ language, and it had to be something local and exceptional. Hence, we indulged in an Assamese thali at Michinga. Our big smile (Aka Zuby’s pose 😜) in the next picture says it all 🤗🤗❤️

Aloo chaat, also known as Aloo Kabli, is a popular Bengali street food made with boiled potatoes, chickpeas, black gram (I don’t add it to the chaat that I make) and a tangy tamarind sauce. It’s a quick and easy snack, often enjoyed as a light meal or appetizer.
Personally I feel that nothing can beat street food in Kolkata.
