I met the saddest version of me this year. The version of me I never thought I would become. I lost my spark. I lost my peace. Most days, I felt like I even lost myself. My mind became a place I couldnt escape from. I smiled around people while quietly falling apart inside. This year showed me how much pain a person can carry in silence. but It also opened my eyes. I saw people for who they really are. I learned that not everyone who stays around you is truly there for you. I learned that losing yourself can sometimes be the beginning of finding yourself again. This year broke something inside me.. but Maybe, it was breaking me open to become someone new. and Its not even over yet. but Neither am I. by @accordingtojen

Some of the kindest souls have known the greatest tragedies. They know what it is to come within reach of the life they once pictured, only to watch it slip away before they ever got to hold it. They know what it is to be ridiculed, ostracized, even abused, and still be the first to extend a hand to someone hurting.
Pain can do strange things to a person.
Sometimes we become what wounded us. And sometimes, we spend the rest of our lives becoming its opposite. We learn what abandonment feels like and become someone who stays. We learn what cruelty sounds like and select our words with care. We learn what it is to feel invisible and start noticing the people no one else sees.
Sometimes we must face our deepest hurt to recognize our capacity for love. And sometimes, because of what we survived, the person we become is the person we once needed most. by @accordingtojen
