I keep waking up hoping this is just a bad dream. The thought that you’re really gone is still unimaginable. My friend, I miss you — there are no words big enough for this kind of loss.

I’ll hold tight to the years of memories and to the nickname you and your family gave me. I can almost hear you saying, “It’s gonna be alright.” I just wish life had given you a little more time here with us.
