“CRAWL INSIDE”

Installation developed for Interactive Media Arts @interactivemediaarts Open Project at NYU Shanghai @nyushanghai

Simulating a return to the womb, Crawl Inside is a custom-built projection environment. Sound and visuals by me, created in TouchDesigner @touchdesigner using 2007 home video footage and a voicemail from my mom.

The space is single occupancy, inviting the audience to lay down inside the structure to view the projection. Scroll for full visual experience.

This one is very close to my heart, thanks for watching❤️‍🩹 by @ace.harvest

“TASTE”, photography series, 2025.

An exploration of intimacy, safety, and gore, TASTE is a photographic series abstracting period sex through fruit.

Menstruation is an intimate, feminine horror, an inherited shame, an involuntary, built-in pain system. In Abrahamic religious texts, menstruation is a mark of female uncleanliness, with many cultures physically separating women from their families until the bleeding stops. Period sex, therefore, speaks to a forbidden desire. It’s messy. It’s carnal. How does it feel to have blood on your hands, and can it come from love?

Shot with a soft focus filter, this work is in conversation with the visual language of female nudity on camera through the fifties and sixties: Marilyn Monroe in Playboy Magazine, shot by Tom Kelly, dreamy and nearly glowing. I am interested in queering the tradition of female nudes through a sapphic abstraction of sex. Composed of many extreme closeups—covered in cherry juice, pomegranate seeds, and blackberry pulp—the fruit is simultaneously appetizing and grotesque.

Developed as a final project for Digital Photography with Alan Winslow @alanwinslow at NYU TSOA Collaborative Arts @collabartsnyu

Theo asked me to write this movie with them in the fall of 2024. Since then, it has taken so much love from so many people to tell this story. Thank you, thank you, thank you to our brilliant collaborators for making this real—especially to Sarah and Sofia for so beautifully bringing these characters to life. They are so special to us and we are so excited to finally get to share them with you. My heart is so so full please go watch our freaky feminist horror film!! @wetpaintprodco #BREATHINGLESSONS4EVER
