Melting Pot - Live @ Cheap Dirty Pride Fest 🏳️‍🌈🤘🏼🇵🇸

Alt Text: Ace Ambrose performs her upcoming single Melting Pot at The Hope & Ruin for Anti Corporate Brighton Pride , accompanied by Emmy Mckissock on guitar. The song is an anti fascist protest song celebrating Ace's heritage as an Indian Palestinian jewish citizen of the UK and daughter of immigrants, calling for a brighter decolonised future and highlighting there is Hope amongst the horror.

Lyrics:
I'm the exiled diaspora daughter
I'm the freedom your granddaddy fought for
I am the product of immigration
I am whats great about this nation
Indian, Palestinian, sephardi, born and bred in the uk
Thats why i say salam, shalom, saludos, safe my brother and namaste
Yeah imma code switch it up so you can understand
I am fulfilled with or without a man
Im a frontwoman with or without a band
Im indigenous with or without a land
Nomad for now but we will return
Knowledge is power, im gonna learn
All of the history you tried to erase
Imma burn your data centre down and build a library in its place
Imma terraform every city
In with the garden, out with the gritty
Im sick of fairytales and nursery rhymes
I wanna see real change in my lifetime
Real leaders who present the people
Or let the people lead themselves thats real freedom
Less darkness, more light
Theres hope amongst the horror and the future is bright

Al amal bayn Alamayy (the Hope between my two worlds)
Yalla, yalla, ay! (Lets go!)

When the power of love beats the love of power, the world will know peace.🕊
Here's to the two fearless protesters @angela_nikolau and @beerkus who risked it all to spread this message of hope and declare their love in front of the world ❤️

Today is #bandcampfriday 🎸 100% of proceeds go to projects in Palestine when you purchase my music on bandcamp 🎶
Usually bandcamp take a small percentage but on bandcamp Friday they drop their revenue fees; proceeds from my tracks are always donated to marginalised communities anyway but bandcamp Friday is when we get to send an even bigger donation so visit bandcamp via the link in my bio, purchase a track for any amount you wish and download straight to your device! 🤘🏼🇵🇸❤️
