Lately at Ace //
Books, merch, celebrity sightings & lots of coffee.

The Sea in Every Sound - Matt Shaw
In The Sea in Every Sound, surfer and music journalist Matthew Shaw journeys to the coastal edges of the continental United States—the places where surfing and music collide—in search of the full story of how surfers and surfing influenced popular music and continue to push sonic boundaries. Along the way, he reveals that the spirit at the heart of wave-riding—independent and innovative, noncommercial and nomadic—has turned popular music on its ear over and over again.

The Beautiful Flower Is The World - Jerry Hsu
During the early years of the blog era, legendary skateboarder and artist Jerry Hsu launched his Tumblr account, uploading onto it photos that he’d taken with his BlackBerry. With the emergence of the smartphone, photographs could be now shot and sent anywhere in the world, transforming the possibilities of digital communications while liberating the medium from barriers to entry like access and cost.

Epicly Later’d - Patrick O’Dell
A 288-page hardcover photo book that collects two decades of photos and stories from his influential early-2000s New York City skate and downtown music blog. taken in Ace Outpost Jacksonville by @aceoutpostjax

☕️✨ Found a new coffee spot in Atlantic Beach that definitely deserves a spot on your list!

I stopped by Ace Outpost and tried their coffee made with vanilla date syrup, and WOW it gives the coffee such a smooth, naturally sweet flavor without being overpowering. 🤎

One of the coolest things about Ace Outpost is that while their Atlantic Beach location is relatively new, they’ve been roasting their own coffee beans in New York for over a decade. So you’re getting that small-batch, specialty-coffee experience right here at the beach. 🌊☕️

If you’re looking for specialty coffee in Atlantic Beach, definitely add Ace Outpost to your list. ☕️✨

Ten years is a long time to keep the lights on.

We had help. Good people. A few bad ideas worth having. Friends who made this little hotel more than a place to sleep.

So we’re celebrating the way we know how. With company.

Five weeks. Five brands. A giveaway each week. First giveaway starts tonight at 6:30pm EST.

We’d make a speech, but you could win something instead.

Stay tuned. taken in Hotel Palms by @aceoutpostjax

It’s Our Birthday! Ace has been here for you everyday for a whole year (except those two days in April we don’t really like to talk about). Come celebrate with us Sunday the 13th. @earlybirdybakery will be popping up 8am to sell out and your favorite fall drink is coming back. If you’re lucky maybe Jake will pull you a Yirg shot. Thank you for everything this far. We’ll see you soon <3 taken in Ace Outpost Jacksonville by @aceoutpostjax
