DO YOU KNOW WHAT IS HAPPENING IN BRAZIL?

This cannot remain inside our country’s political bubble. The world needs to understand what is at stake — and how devastating the consequences could be for Brazil, its democracy, its people, and especially for women and other marginalized communities.
What is happening in Brazil is not something that should be ignored or treated as a distant political dispute. The decisions being made, the people being elected, and the values being defended today will have consequences that reach far beyond our borders. Brazil is one of the largest democracies in the world, and what happens here matters.

This is about more than one election, one candidate, or one political family. It is about the future of our democracy, the protection of our rights, the dignity of our people, and the kind of country we will be allowed to build. It is about whether women, LGBTQ+ people, Black people, Indigenous people, poor and working-class people, and other marginalized communities will continue to have their voices heard and their rights protected.

The international community cannot look away while Brazil faces another moment that could profoundly shape its future. We need people outside Brazil to understand what is happening here, to talk about it, to question it, and to stand with those who are fighting for democracy and equality.

Please share this. Talk about Brazil. Pay attention to what is happening here. Do not let our reality disappear behind the noise of international headlines or become just another political story that people forget.

If you are reading this from outside Brazil, please understand that this is not abstract to us. These are our lives, our rights, our communities, our families, and our future. What happens here will be felt by real people for years to come.

Our future is at stake. Our democracy is at stake. Our rights are at stake. Please do not look away. Please listen to Brazilians who are asking the world to pay attention. Share this message, start conversations, and help make sure Brazil is not left alone during this crucial moment. by @acervochase
