As we celebrate our mommy’s birthday today, I can’t forget how this time last year we were preparing to say see you later to daddy. Bear and I miss the two of you so much, and though this path without the two of you is lonely, daddy would tell us how strong we are. We would be beaming seeing you two laughing and joking with your new son in law, but it’s hard not having y’all around. The path for the strong is hard but you two made some beasts! Words can’t express the pain your wife and girls are experiencing. Almost 62 years of joy and pain, thank you for sharing your stories and encouraging us,letting us know how much we were loved by you and never being afraid to be yourself. We are better and stronger because of you even though we didn’t get to grow up with you we never felt less than. I miss your voice and laughter but one day we will be together again. We will continue taking great care of ourselves and granddad and thank you for giving us a wonderful bonus mom and sisters. We’re forever grateful daddy

To lose both parents in 4 years I’m at a loss for words. Yes, I was raised by my grandparents but I especially in my adult life had a personal relationship with them. I grew up knowing I was loved by them but as an adult I FELT it! I’m going to miss our talks and laughter. We will continue to make you proud and I’m excited to feel your presence on a deeper level.
