Love is such a beautiful balm
From the death and disappearing.

I turn my cheek the other way
Not to forgive my enemy
Not ever

But to absolve myself of pain momentarily.
It’s your kiss on my cheek that startles the child in me- more than the monsters outside.

Even in a rut, I see the fire in your conviction
Like I, fighting for you.
Fighting for a better world.

Fighting to fight
And loving to love

Can there be a more beautiful freedom than that choice? by @acezarchive

RIVERLUTION 2026

📍secret location

Definition: a yearly gathering of BIPOC and trans/queer folks in nature, sharing offerings of belonging, love and joy.

Deep thank yous to the organizers, for uplifting and feeding our spirits by getting us together for the 4th year in a row! Thank you to the River for welcoming us back again. My heart grows, as the amount of community every year since the first river gathering.

This was an intentional reminder for me that we need to slow down sometimes, and honor these moments of joy to keep going.

-
Extra notes:

In the water we stand with the memories of all before us and after, in between life and death, in flesh and spirit.

In vulnerability there is power, and in truth telling there is bravery no one can take from us.

Like a new age baptism, I feel washed of a layer of worry, at least momentarily….

I’m comforted by the strength of all our resilience, and conviction for a better world.

Fighting to stay, or go, let the water take you where you’re meant to settle and wiggle in the sand below your toes.

Lean on me and I’ll lean on you when the going gets tough, but rest assured I’ll never let you give up on yourself if I know you got me. by @acezarchive
