Sabbatical Chronicles from parts unknown. A soft blanket and lots of water to stay hydrated is always on my list of things to travel with. Off to the ☀️ sunshine peace ✌️ by @achearedd

JUST ANOTHER FRIDAY… #intentionalliving #sabbaticallife by @achearedd

TRANSITIONS:
I have benefited from yoga in a myriad of ways. Yes, the type of yoga I do is physically challenging but that’s not what keeps me coming back…
I come back over and over again to my mat because yoga continues to show me how to get through hard things. More specifically, how to transition from pose to pose even when it’s wobbly, difficult, or imperfect without judgement.

How often do you judge yourself when you make a life transition and it seems imperfect? by @achearedd

GROWING IS GROWING… we can’t do anything to speed up the process. Settle in, lean in AND exhale. by @achearedd

Coming home to yourself means finding joy in the simple things. In this case it’s an arch way of golden leaves on my way home from yoga. #sabbaticallifestyle #intentionalliving #beautyeverywhere

Where did you find joy today? by @achearedd

MISSED EXITS and everything in between:
Today, I made the choice to go vote in person instead voting by mail. The message here isn’t me telling you to get out and vote, but rather to enjoy the scenery on your way to wherever you’re going. I missed my exit and a long journey turned into an even longer one. Instead of getting frustrated and cursing myself out for missing the exit, I took a deep breathe, turned my music up (“Hip Hop Hooray”-Naughty By Nature) and enjoyed the fall foliage and fresh air. Moral of the story is that not all missed exits or wrong turns are bad. Lean in and breathe. 🧘‍♀️ #sabbaticallifestyle #intentionalliving #livelifeonyourownterms by @achearedd

JUST ANOTHER MONDAY… or so I thought 💭
My daughter and I share many passions, whether it’s museums, books, writing, history, shopping, politics, or a love for the arts. She is literally everything I’ve ever wanted, but didn’t know how much I needed her. Her growth into her teenage years has challenged every hidden trauma and shined the light on some of my most shadowed parts…my ego. Her young life has led me to a big part of my ego death and for that I will always be so grateful. So on a “random” Monday to have the capacity to grab her after school and say, “let’s go get our ears pierced” since she’s been wanting too and I never had the time; now I’ve made the time. Yes, there will be more memories, but there’s nothing better than the gift of the present.
Make the time for those who mean most and who fill your heart with love. That’s what makes these moments a little less random. #sabbaticallifestyle #intentionalliving #whatmattersmost by @achearedd

SOUL CONNECTIONS : they are rare and when you find them you know it deep within your bones. I cherish you deeply @nicole_bromley. Thank you @alex_elle for your masterful work The Company You Keep. It changed my life. by @achearedd

ANNOUNCEMENT 📣:
Over the next few weeks you will start to notice my page will look a lot different and most of my older content will be archived. Over the last 10 years I have been so fortunate to connect with so many of you. We have grown together. Not to worry, I am not disappearing completely and I will still be posting, mostly content focusing on my sabbatical that currently has no end date. Social media has changed significantly over the last several years, and it doesn’t align with where I’m headed, constantly chasing the algorithm. I am closer to 50 years old and want what I post to reflect the true cadence of the life I’m curating now while living a much slower, intentional sabbatical lifestyle. I will continue to create, but in a different way which I’m hoping will foster a deeper connection between me and my followers. by @achearedd

H O M E 💚: Newport you’ve been good to us. We will see you again soon. Next chapter is coming sooner than later. #lifelongsabbatical #intentionalliving #coastalliving by @achearedd

P O O L S I D E 💭
When a relationship sunsets sometimes we may have feelings of missing those individuals and that’s more than okay. However, I have discovered that from my experience it’s not the people I miss, it’s the version of them that I created in my head that kept me in the relationship. Realizing that the image of what I created was never really them, it was who I wanted them to be. #sabbaticallife #stillnessspeaks #intentionalliving by @achearedd

19 years ago this is how our little family began. Happy birthday to my one and only son. You are not just my son, but also my best friend. So grateful 🥹 I get to walk through life with you. by @achearedd
