Women’s Day celebration with the young girls at the Orphanage. We had more of a discussion. They shared their stories and indeed societal ills faced by women needs to be something we need to consider and find solutions to. They are so young yet have been through a considerable like challenges. Through this discussion we were able to give them assurance and let them know your pain has purpose. Many began shifting the victim card to saying they are women of substance. Women’s day should be more about empowering women especially such aspects. An empowered and transformed young girl, a successful future for the nation. by @acherefoundation

I count it a privilege whenever I am opportune to speak to the orphans. They my brothers and sisters. If I could go through and still go through the storms of life, I count it a privilege to be a source of encouragement to them. God being our helper. by @acherefoundation

We had an amazing back to school this year. I can’t be more thankful to God. He always comes through for us and the most important is the fact that we were able to make these children smile. We had a successful Back to School 2023 with the Children of St Rita of Cascia Orphanage Yaounde. Sending a total of 34 Children Back to School with School items. A Big thank you to our Partner One Nation One Heart and our different sponsors who equally sponsored the event. The greatest gift you can give a child is education. by @acherefoundation

In a way to celebrate their pre mariage by a young couple, a workshop was organised at St Therese orphanage Obili Yaounde, where they were accompanied by partners *One Nation One heart*(ONOH) who also decided to celebrate the 1 year of the association and who invited us Achere Foundation as well. As activities they sensitised the children and youths on hygiene that is how they are supposed to keep their body clean as well as their mouths in order not to get sick in a long run. Furthermore, the doctors took children above 12 years to talk to them about sexual hygiene and how they are supposed to go about it, especially girls. ONOH on they other side sensitised the youths on the hygiene of the environment and gave the children some tips to keep their environment clean.
Nevertheless the activities went on with the gift of some prices to the orphans and the cutting of the cake of the doctors as well as ONOH. by @acherefoundation
