Commission piece developed for artist @janneigbuwe , presented during Art Week Open Studios 2025 - @rijksakademie . Inspired by her studio and practice, the piece explores transparency through process - shifting from a solid support to a delicate embroidered drawing, where only the thread remains.  I had a dream opportunity to document a capsule collection by @beatrizbonito_ who was selected to be presented at one of Amsterdam Fashion Week’s emerging designer events. When I spoke with Beatriz about her process, I couldn’t believe she had only a month to bring it to life — from the very first concept to a full runway show. Listening to where her ideas were coming from helped me understand her choices of textures and shapes on a deeper level. I’m deeply in awe of it! Rejecting the fast pace of conventional fashion, each piece becomes a versatile statement—designed to be transformed, reimagined, and worn in multiple ways. On the runway, they’ll present the Somnia Collection, inspired by the shifting space between childhood wonder and adult reality. Beatriz: ‘Our design ethos embraces “own less, play more,” encouraging mindful wear and creative self-expression. We bring life to textile waste, repurposing fabric scraps, cut remnants, and threads into shape-shifting garments that invite curiosity, movement, and joy. Every piece whispers possibility—here’s a skirt that becomes a top, here’s a skirt that can be attached or detached from a pair of jeans via zipper. These aren’t just clothes—they’re an invitation to explore, remix, and celebrate the unexpected. The Somnia Collection is an exploration of the fragile space between childhood wonder and adult reality. A soft palette carries the quiet nostalgia of childhood, echoing the colors of the room where imagination once unfolded. Structured forms embody the rigidity of adulthood pressing against childhood’s fragility, becoming mind-traps that hint at the uneasy tension between growth and restraint.
