Had a blast making this messy lil painting the other nite in celebration of BICYCLE DAY 🚴‍♂️🌈💫
on April 19, 1943 Albert Hofmann took the 1st ever LSD trip, which kicked in as he was riding his bicycle home from the same laboratory in which he synthesized the chemical about 5yrs earlier.
it had taken him that long before he re-examined the chemical on april 16, gotten some absorbed into his skin, & noticed its psychoactive effects. then a few days later, on the 19th, he intentionally dosed himself & had the first ever acid trip.
he has gone on to say "I see the true importance of LSD in the possibility of providing material aid to meditation aimed at the mystical experience of a deeper, comprehensive reality."
LSD has gone on to be scientifically proven to help treat depression, anxiety, & ptsd. the chemical along with all other classic psychedelics are linked to deep emotional processing, which can allow people to explore fear & trauma in new ways.
for me personally LSD has saved me over & over in many different ways. im so grateful to Albert Hofmann, what a beautiful gift he had given us 🌈💫👁👁👁 #trippyart #psychedelicart #trippy #painting #psychedelicartist by @acidheadalien
