The circle is the image of Eternity. A line that goes into space and returns to its starting point. In symbolism, it's the serpent that bites its own tail. But where is the beginning of a closed circle? Even our thought, caught in the circle, cannot escape it. A heroic effort of imagination, a complete break with anything logically understandable, natural, and possible, is necessary to divine the secret of this circle, and to find the point where the end joins the beginning, where the serpent's head bites its own tail.

Don't be arrogant. The perfect circle of the moon lasts only one night.
