So happy to have the plaza back after the brief interruption we had to endure to appease whoever was racking out on the festy operation. I love performing for random folks who are visiting Venice but it always makes my heart so full when one of the homies comes out to check out the show. As you can see here in real time the moment I realize that my boy @andrew_deitsch was the one filming I’m overcome by genuine stoke energy. Also big shoutout to @derekgrasshopper coming in hot with the heavy sound system on a casual Tuesday night. Loving what we got going on with the boardwalk right now. Shibari is connection… It took me a long time to appreciate and recognize how much I love this very important aspect of the art form. I was pretty touch deprived most of my life, so having someone tie me up with care and give me some physical affection is really nice. Yes, I enjoy being put into weird shapes, but part of that joy for me is that others like to look at them too. My inner being mostly just wants to be held and loved, especially these days… I’ve been through so much since the beginning of the year, and I’m still trying to process and move through a lot of really intense emotions.
