Hello 👋 for anyone new here, welcome!

Here is a little reminder about our mission to fund medical breakthroughs in children's health.☝️

🩺 Action was founded in 1952 by Duncan Guthrie in his quest to find a cure for polio, a condition that affected the lives of thousands of children, including his own daughter.

LUSSO RIDE OUT 2027

After being involved in Action Medical Research’s Garmin Ride Out in the New Forest this year, we’re proud to be bringing an event up North, this time in the heart of the Lake District!

We’ve teamed up with Action Medical Research for Children to bring you a 100km ride through some of the Lake District’s most beautiful scenery, all while supporting a fantastic cause.

📍 Coniston, Lake District
📅 Sunday 12th September 2027
🚴 100km route
🎟️ £75 per ticket, including a bespoke Lusso event jersey

Expect a brilliant day of cycling, with a finisher’s medal, mechanical and medical support, and an event village with food and drinks available to purchase.

Did you know the Garmin Ride Out has raised more than £500,000 to date for our work to fund vital research for sick and disabled babies and children? This springtime event brings together cyclists of all levels for a day of adventure, community and world-class scenery.

And it's the same ethos that makes their support for our Champions of CycleSport Dinner such a great match. They sponsor this unique gala dinner which brings together hundreds of people who love life on two wheels to celebrate the best names in the sport.

This #WisdomWednesday we're focusing on the changing seasons and how to keep motivated getting out on the bike 🍂🚴‍♀️ Our cycling events manager Zoe's top tip is lights & layers. Autumn brings later sunrises, earlier sunsets, and low-angle sunlight that make cyclists difficult for drivers to spot, so lights front & back are key. Autumn rides will often start with a morning chill, heat up as you push hard on the pedals, and turn cold again by dusk or when descending, so packable items such as gilets, arms warmers are key & can be easily stored in pockets.
