Meet Our Founder , Charles “Coach” Jackson . 🤝🏾🫡

Long before there was an Action Plan Sports , there was Coach Jackson doing the work behind it ! Sometimes that looked like coaching from the sideline . Other times , it looked like a ride home . A meal . A phone call . A pair of shoes for a young athlete who wasn’t even technically his responsibility . & sometimes it meant continuing to mentor young men long after their time playing for him had ended helping former players find direction , get back on track , and even begin careers of their own in law enforcement .

For Coach Jackson , coaching has never stopped when the clock hit zero . He is demanding , he pushes hard , & expects accountability . But those expectations come from a simple belief : young people are capable of more than they sometimes believe they are.

As he puts it : “My specialty is making you believe in yourself!”

& the young men he coach don’t just hear him talk about hard work , they watch him live it .

From humble beginnings to becoming a collegiate athlete , coach , law enforcement officer , and head basketball coach , his own life reflects the discipline and perseverance he asks of the young people around him .

Action Plan Sports is the next chapter of work he has already been doing for years . A place where athletics can open the door , but where the plan extends far beyond sports . Because eventually , every athlete plays their last game .

The goal is to make sure they have a plan for what comes next.

First I have to thank the most high for giving me opportunity after opportunity and building me in a way that can’t be broken!

Next I have to thank my wife and my kids who are there everyday to not only support me but give me the strength and courage when the days get hard because trust me they do!

I would also like to thank the admin team at SRHS for giving me an opportunity to lead young men and push them to be GREAT leaders of our community! This opportunity is much bigger than that orange ball going into the hoop!

Last I would like to thank Coach Farns @bfarns32 who has been a mentor of mine forever! Without him believing in 21 year old Chuck who had nothing when I came back from college and presenting me with an opportunity to not only coach but to be a teacher at my Alma Mater I would not be here today! Farns does not get enough credit nor will he ever ask for the credit but I will always give it to him because without him there is no me! So thank you Coach, I will do my best to instill those Viking ways into these young Mustangs!

💯 miles complete for the month! I set a goal and tho I didn’t think it was obtainable, the most high reassured me and showed me it’s not much that I can’t do with him behind me! Through this process most people called me crazy, told me they would never and it made me understand that the most high just ain’t wire everyone like he wired me! I hope someone read this post and go for those goals people told you, you can’t reach! As long as GOD got you you don’t need anyone else! Thank you to my family that watched me lace these running shoes up everyday and go put feet to that pavement! I love yall! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾#JACKSONSTRONG #RIPSGTWILLIAMS by @actionjacks0n
