After an amazing 11 years coaching Pop Warner football, my final season was by far my toughest and my most rewarding.

35 kids. Only 8 had played before. We were teaching from the ground up while competing against kids with 3–4 years of experience. We could’ve gone elsewhere, but we chose to stay at @mapopwarnervikings and build with the boys we had.

This season challenged me and taught me how to become a better teacher. We started rough, but as the fundamentals started clicking, these boys finished on a winning streak.

I’ve experienced trips to Florida and championships coaching Pop Warner, but watching this group develop brought a different kind of satisfaction. Seeing their confidence grow and their hard work come together is something I’ll always remember.

To our vets who stayed: thank you for your leadership, patience, and being great teammates. You stuck it out and understood the bigger goal.

If you’d told me my final season would be spent teaching so many first-time players, I probably would’ve said, “No way.” 😂 Now, I’m grateful this was the group I got to finish with.

To the MA Vikings, thank you for trusting me, supporting me, and giving me the opportunity to coach these boys. I’m especially grateful for the community you’ve given my two sons—a place to develop and grow as young men who will one day pour back into this very community. That means more to me than any championship.

I’ll always appreciate the families, friendships, and memories this chapter has given us.

Always love and always a Viking!! 💜💛🏈 by @activated_sports_performance_

3 years. One goal. One dream.

Consistency. Consistency. Consistency.

This journey wasn’t easy.

Coming back from an ACL injury, Phoebe never stopped showing up. Day after day, she trusted the process, stayed disciplined, and put in the work.

Over the past year, she became one of Activated Sports Performance’s fastest female athletes, increasing her top speed by an incredible +1.34 MPH through relentless consistency and an elite work ethic.

Now it’s paying off.

Congratulations @phoebe.oliven (Class of 2026) on continuing her academic and athletic journey from Saint Ignatius to @culionslax 🦁🥍

Proof that consistency beats excuses. Keep chasing greatness—this is only the beginning. 💪
