Today I turned 57. And I celebrated in the gym. More than 115 pounds down. More strength. More mobility. More flexibility. More LIFE. At 45, I started accepting everything that came with getting older. The aches, the stiffness, the shortness of breath, the limitations. I convinced myself it was all part of aging. I was wrong. I wasn't just getting older. I was giving up on myself, one excuse at a time. Then I made a decision. I wasn't going to spend the rest of my life watching myself decline. The journey wasn't quick. It wasn't easy. It took YEARS of discipline, setbacks, sacrifice, and showing up when I didn't feel like it. Today, at 57, I'm the healthiest I've been since 2003. The first photo is me TODAY. The second shows the journey that brought me here. Here's what I've learned: Getting older is inevitable. Giving up on yourself is optional. You're not too old. You're not too late. Your next chapter could be your strongest. Set the GOAL. Make the PLAN. Build the ROUTINE. God. Grit. IN 2014, I WAS DRIVING PEOPLE TO ART BASEL. IN 2026, I’M PERFORMING THERE. In 2014, I lost everything. I was living with my brother in Miami, driving rideshare just to make ends meet. I remember dropping people off at Art Basel, watching them walk into events I could only dream of attending. I used to wonder if one day people would come to see me instead. Twelve years later, I’m returning to Miami for a LIVE ACTION PERFORMANCE during Art Basel! I can’t explain how much this means to me. If you’re struggling right now, please don’t give up. I know what it’s like to feel like life has passed you by. Sometimes you’re not just driving people to their destination. You’re on your way to yours. Miami, I’m coming back. This time, I’m performing! #ShaneCosta #ArtBaselMiami #ArtBasel #FullCircleMoment #NeverGiveUp Miami by @actorshanecosta

There was a time when I felt completely unworthy. I grew up on welfare, lost my mother at 16, served in the Navy, and later lost almost everything I had worked for. Then came stage four kidney cancer. I questioned my purpose and my worth. Today, I use those same experiences to help others find hope. Life sometimes makes you an expert in things you never wanted to experience. Your struggles can become someone else’s strength. Your lessons can become someone else’s breakthrough. I once questioned my worth. Today, I find purpose in helping others discover theirs. Never underestimate the power of your story. What’s one struggle that taught you a valuable lesson? #ShaneCosta #YourStoryMatters #Resilience #OvercomingAdversity #Motivation GPR by @actorshanecosta

There’s something about a man who doesn’t have to say much to make his presence felt. I’ve always enjoyed playing characters with a little edge. The mob boss, the enforcer, the guy who walks into a room and everybody knows he means business. That’s what I love about acting. Sometimes you can tell an entire story without saying a single word. I’ve lived enough life to understand confidence, respect, and knowing when to speak and when to stay quiet. I don’t need to be the loudest guy in the room. I know what I bring to the table. **Different look. Different attitude. Same actor.** Shane Costa 🎬 #ShaneCosta #ProfessionalActor #CharacterActor #MobBoss #FilmAndTelevision ActorLife KnowYourWorth by @actorshanecosta
Writing **NEW LOOK. NEW ME. NEW HEADSHOT.** This picture represents a lot more than a new headshot. It represents years of hard work, sacrifice, discipline, and a decision to change my life. There was a time when I weighed 350 pounds, struggled with my health, and started accepting things I thought were just part of getting older. I refused to let that be the rest of my story. I lost 115 pounds. I fought through cancer. I worked on my health, my mindset, my finances, and my career. Most importantly, I worked on becoming a better version of myself. None of it happened overnight. There were setbacks, difficult days, and moments when quitting would have been easier. I’m still a work in progress, but I’m proud of how far I’ve come. **Same man. Different mindset. New chapter.** As an actor, every new role requires growth. Life is no different. This is more than a new headshot. **This is a man who decided his story wasn’t finished.** What’s one thing you’ve changed about your life that you’re proud of? I’d love to hear it. #ShaneCosta #ActorLife #NewChapter #PersonalTransformation #Resilience NeverStopGrowing ProfessionalActor by @actorshanecosta
I love helping people. Seeing someone’s face light up because something I shared helped them figure things out, feel encouraged, or believe in themselves makes my whole day. 💙 Sometimes what comes naturally to you is exactly what somebody else needs. Share it. You might walk away smiling just as much as they are. Who’s someone who made a difference for you? Give them some love in the comments. #HelpingOthers #SpreadPositivity #MakeADifference #KindnessMatters #ShaneCosta by @actorshanecosta
