This past week has been one of the biggest blessings God has had for me. God called me to go and serve for one week in La República Dominicana, at Freedom Christian School for a second time.

The first time I went to Freedom, two summers ago, my eyes opened into what life and the body of Christ looks like outside my own bubble. This year, being my second time, I was ready to face whatever challenge God gave me and to continue to serve for His glory. I was able to make sweet connections and help share the love of God to children who live in challenging environments.

Seeing the joy, faith, and perserverence each child has, throughout all of their challenges reminded me that even just the smallest acts of love, can point someone closer to Christ. It reminds me that God’s love can bring unity EVERYWHERE, not just in one place, just as it says in Colossians 3:14 - “And above all these out on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony”.

God uses ordinary people, like me, to do extraordinary things. Thank You, God for this amazing week filled with love and new friendships. See you next summer Freedom Christian School! 🫶 taken in Freedom International Ministries by @ada.williamss

i do not think i will ever find the right words to explain how much you mean to me. you were more than just a part of my life, you were a source of happiness and unconditional love. every memory i have with you, feels like a gift. running up the stairs of your apartment, because of how happy i was to see you. eating that delicious fudge you made for us every christmas. learning my love of Elvis from
you. just sitting with you and talking about life together. i will cherish these moments forever. i am, and will continue to miss you deeply, but i am thankful for every moment God allowed me to have with you. i just wish for one more moment with you but i know God has brought you home and i hope you can rest peacefully with Him. i know Carl is with you too, holding you tight.
