"I met Ada a while ago and within the first minute we were already talking about machines, modulars, drones and noise. I could immediately tell how deep she was into it - that particular kind of obsession, the passion for sound, and a natural connection to the parallel side of the scene. Today we’re presenting a live set that brings all of that together: machines, drones and noise, recorded at one of those events that exist somewhere slightly outside the usual circuit."

Ada Byron (@ada_byron ) is the solo project of Alba, also a member of Señalada, Amoxitanol and f.l.i.t.d. Working with noise, modular synths, loopers and effects pedals, she creates dense sonic landscapes, endless drones and constantly evolving textures. Her practice explores the human urge to escape silence, transforming absence into presence through layers of sound, repetition and electronic experimentation. Beauty and anguish coexist in Ada Byron’s immersive, intense compositions, where atmosphere and texture take centre stage. Her sound is a continuous flow of information: saturated, hypnotic and deliberately overwhelming. Ada Byron pushes perception towards its limits, inviting the listener into a space where everything dissolves, and the infinite begins.

Bilbao siempre ha tenido una fuerte cultura del do it yourself y AT forman parte de una orgullosa historia de bandas vascas alegremente ruidosas, resistentes y robustas. Juntos, desde la amistad, Mikel y Alberto (Sal del coche) practican música instrumental pesada: bajo y batería jugando al frontón con toda la fantasía. Sin más, ni más. Llámalo post-hardcore, rock instrumental o libertad.

Anno Solar es una banda de Valencia influenciada por el no wave y el noise que trabaja desde la improvisación, explorando la convergencia entre orden, desorden y repetición. Collaboration with Ada Byron — part of the ongoing split-screen jam series with different artists. Based in Barcelona, she uses the Soma Lyra-8 alongside looping techniques to build slow-moving drones and minimal textures, while I improvise modular layers and atmospheres on top.

A dialogue between unstable analog tones, repetition, and evolving space, performed live with no DAW and no edits.

@ada_byron and @distort.chroma are a Barcelona-based AV duo exploring the intersection of sound and image. Their work is born from a shared obsession: the fear of the void and the urgent need to challenge it through presence.

Each piece is a dialogue between beauty and anxiety where both states coexist and recognize each other. They aim to push the limits of your perception, inviting you to dive into a constant sea of stimuli where the senses dissolve and the infinite begins.

They embrace this “horror vacui” by creating worlds that fill every corner. Their language leaves no room for silence or absence, relying solely on the power of infinite sound and light in motion.

1 year later (and 4 design revisits 😅), I’m super happy to finally share the final version of EXO (formerly Quarantine XD) the latest @velectronic.bcn Eurorack module.

A 4-channel output built for professional sound on stage, in the studio, or on the go.

As expected, this little machine comes in hot 🔥
With a Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) @ 1kHz of 0.0008% which, for mortals, basically means only whales can hear it 🐋

It also features an output impedance of 600Ω and a frequency response of 5Hz – 35kHz, covering the full spectrum from dolphins to elephants 🐬🐘
Basically, the entire mammal evolutionary chain is ready for the decibels.

Always with ups and downs, but always with the best quality.
