My Luv 💛 by @adaaaaasade

Happy Father’s Day to my soulmate, my best friend, and the backbone of our family.

Your loyalty is rare. Your love is steady. The way you show up for me and our children, day after day, is unmatched. Thank you for being a man of integrity, strength, and devotion in a world that desperately needs more of it.

We love you beyond words. 🤎 @control9planetz by @adaaaaasade

Since March 2026, I’ve been hospitalized battling severe preeclampsia… and this experience changed my life forever.

Before this journey, I knew of preeclampsia, but I never truly understood how serious and life-altering it could be until I was living through it myself. The blood pressure scares. The swelling. The fear. The emotional exhaustion. The uncertainty. Trying to stay calm while carrying life at the same time.

There were hard days. Emotional days. Scary moments. Ups and downs mentally, physically, and spiritually. But through it all, one thing I can honestly say is that the care I received at Kaiser San Francisco was truly top tier.

From the nurses, to the doctors, to the antepartum team — I felt seen, monitored, protected, and cared for during one of the most vulnerable experiences of my life. Hospitalization for months away from home is not easy, but the compassion, patience, and support shown to me and my husband during this journey meant more than words can explain. 🤍

And through all of this, my husband never left my side. Through the tears, the prayers, the fear, the long nights, and the uncertainty… this experience showed me what true partnership and unconditional support really looks like.

As a Black woman, it’s deeply important for me to bring awareness to preeclampsia and Black maternal health because too many women suffer in silence or don’t realize how serious the warning signs can become. Advocacy matters. Listening to your body matters. Being heard matters.

This is only a preview of our journey.
Soon I’ll be sharing the full story — the hospitalization, labor, postpartum, recovery, motherhood, and everything people don’t talk about enough. The beautiful moments and the terrifying ones too.

Thank you to everyone who prayed for us, checked on us, supported us, and especially to the incredible staff at Kaiser San Francisco for helping bring our baby safely into this world. 🤍
