golden hour in my garden and #mobysweater.
isn’t it magic that we can capture moments like this?

this one was knitted for my dearest friend and biggest supporter - my Mum.

i had wrong knitting tension so it ended having wider sleeves than in original pattern but she thinks it’s better this way and i was forbidden to unravel and modify them.

now it was packed carefully with some treats i brought from svalbard and sent by post to poland.

honestly, i can’t express how proud i am of my pierre sweater - it’s a piece i’ve been dreaming about and never and that has been missing in my wardrobe. i can’t wait to take it to the beach when sun comes back to bretagne 🫶

may i present you - harriet in all her glory.

perfectly oversized sweater with a sophisticated classic colourwork 🫶 Lene outdid herself again creating this piece. i really love the yarn choice - tweed yarn from isager is one of my all times favourites and it works so well in jacquard!

if you’ve been dreaming about porcelain sweater but working colourwork back and forth scares you - harriet might be the answer - you only knit in the round. ;)

i’m 1.60 and knitted size xs.

me under the tree that my grandma has planted about 50 years before i was born, that has the most delicious apples i have ever tasted. showing my Mum progress on my lillie dress. it’s the end of september, sun shines on all three of us. life is good. ❤️

lillie sweater appreciation 🤍 AND there are lots of thoughts behind it.

i used to work in knitwear design, so naturally i’ve spent an unreasonable amount of time thinking about colour - colour analysis, how colours make us feel, from ancient greek symbolism to physics to yoga chakras - and i kept oscillating between the colours that make me feel energised and those that make me feel calm.
i always thought my colours were set in stone: this complexion, this hair, these lips = surely there’s a very specific palette somewhere. i just never knew what it was.

so i finally went for a professional colour analysis (another story/post coming — it was actually a great experience, and thanks to it i found my perfect red lipstick). i paid for it, so this is absolutely not an ad, but i’m still a little torn about the whole thing.

because yes, i now know which colours make me look fabulous. i even have a tailor-made red lipstick that makes me look amazing without wearing any other makeup. OMG. who knew.

BUT i also went there wearing this sweater and was told it is absolutely not my colour. apparently it makes my face look grey and brings out the circles under my eyes.

THE SWEATER I FEEL LIKE A SUPERSTAR IN.

that was about the moment i thought: ok, i’m burning down my wardrobe.

yes, apparently i’m a warm autumn. but i just LOVE the contrast between golden skin and this icy sky blue. it makes me feel like a queen.

so here’s my conclusion: wear whatever makes you feel good about yourself. we already have enough things to worry about without turning colour — one of the easiest sources of joy and inspiration — into another set of rules.

all-black-everything soul? jealous, honestly, your life must look so simple and classy.
sad beige children aesthetic? GREAT.
neon makes my soul happy princess? GREAT.
earth tones, elegant burberry energy? GREAT.
i am a warm autumn who loves unicorn purple, sky blue, neon yellow and bright coral - and i think that’s great too.

lillie, in the arctic ❄️

today is my last day of my 4th season on spitsbergen!!! time flies and i still remember how it felt coming here for the first time, eyes wide open with awe, whales on barents sea and white nights…

this island has given me so much - it made me an expedition leader, taught me an absurd amount about people, and probably even more about myself.

it made me think about another little full-circle moment. shortly after i first started working on board, a few years ago, i was testing Johanna’s design for the first time - the thierry sweater. and since i knitted it, there are now more than 5000 of you here. 🥹

i remember being so ridiculously excited about it and think it deserves a little post of its own one day. :)

a few years, many sweaters and a lot of life later, i’m still just as honoured (and honestly a little amazed) that i get to test for Johanna.

so here is the newest one - the lillie sweater, knitted in the heart of the arctic.

when i said i take my sweaters places i meant it 😉🥰

my life feels unreal sometimes, like i got to hike to worlds most beautiful mountains (lofoten) during my lunch break 🥹❤️

i have finally landed mentally after the august in indonesia and discovered, to my surprise, that i have a life that i can’t wait to come back to after adventure 🥹 i got so much inspiration both for knitting, writing, surfing and yoga i believe it’s enough to survive dark months! 😅 i already run a class with my collegues and boys loved it 🤗

they say that algorithm gets confused when i don’t post strictly knitting-only-pictures but oh well, i just feel i have to share that with you as i share the ups and downs of the life as expedition leader 😅🥰 i guess you got used to that by now 😉😘

and here we are - the last one!

9 skeins of sandnes duo in this warm, very light beige 🤍 i have so many ideas for it!

so for the last giveaway, let’s do something a little different:

not necessarily your favourite project, or the most beautiful one - just the one that somehow feels the most you.

i’ll start. i think i’m my pierre sweater by kolibri by johanna, which i tested for her some time ago. i made it in undyed silk + silk mohair from kfo, probably my favourite combination ever. it’s oversized and flowy, with a pattern that looks incredibly complicated but is actually surprisingly simple to knit. romantic, but somehow very stable in its form.

so… what’s yours? i’m very curious about this one.
