Every pattern carries a wish. Every line tells a story. 🤍

This Ashtami, we celebrate Bengal’s Alpana, an age-old folk-art tradition traditionally created freehand using pitulli — a paste made from rice and water. Drawn during festivals, religious observances, and auspicious occasions, these intricate patterns symbolise prosperity, good fortune, and well-being.

Passed down through generations, Alpana reminds us that art is not only something we admire, but also something we live and celebrate.

Through Celebrating Pujo, Through Bengal’s Art, Adamas University honours the traditions that make Bengal’s culture so beautiful.

Shubho Ashtami!
