European Country High Points 9 and 10 - 🇫🇮 and 🇸🇪. Both north of the Arctic Circle.

Pictures 1-12 are from my journey up Kebnekaise, the highest point in Sweden. Did it in two days, with the second day being very long - 24 miles, 7,000 ft vert. Encountered clouds and snow/ice on the ascent but the clouds cleared right as I was on the North summit.

Pictures 13-18 are of Finland’s high point Halti which is on the border with Norway. I approached from the Norwegian side. It was basically a giant boulder field the entire time. Saw some reindeer on the descent. taken in Kebnekaise Nordtoppen by @adamblocker3

Granite Peak, Montana (12,799’) via the SW Ramp route over two days. State Highpoint #46 for me!

There was still snow on a portion of the ramp, was glad to have brought crampons and an ice axe. Lots of loose rock and scree preceding the more technical section.

Saw several mountain goats both on the mountain and around my tent at night. Overall one of the most scenic state highpoints so far. taken in Granite Peak by @adamblocker3

Long weekend in Northern Ontario 🇨🇦.

Did my first Canadian Provincial High Point (Ishpatina Ridge), which was an adventure. 65 km (2.5 hours driving) of logging roads one way from Capreol, ON to get to the trailhead. Then 19 miles hiking including river crossings, very bad mosquitoes/black flies/gnats, overgrown bush to get to an awesome 100 ft fire tower at the summit that overlooks pure Canadian Shield wilderness as far as you can see. Saw a black bear on the way out as well - about 100 yards away.

Also did some more chill hiking near Whitefish Falls and Killarney, ON. taken in Northern Ontario, Canada by @adamblocker3

2026 iRacing Indy 500

We achieved a third consecutive win for Powerslide Motorsports with @teamhypesim in the Saturday feature broadcasted race. Our group locked out the top 7 finishing positions. It was cool to see how well the team worked as a group over the past couple of months to build a kickass setup again to dominate the race. I finished P6 in the main race, having started P9.

In the second biggest race of the weekend - the Friday broadcasted timeslot of the same event - I won in 1-2-3 for the team in what was the fastest Indy 500 ever run on iRacing in terms of average speed. It went caution free (!!) and we averaged 217.33 mph including pit stops as a result. And it came down to a three wide finish. A very cool record to hold!

Here's the exciting finish to that race:

Snowshoeing last weekend in the UP of Michigan. 30-40 inches of snow pack.

First photos are of Porcupine Mountains State Park. Second half are from Michigan’s new high point based on recent surveys - Mt. Curwood (I’m at 41/50 state HPs again).

The Porcupines were awesome, but Mt. Curwood was the real adventure. It’s in a remote area with limited winter access. I tried to do a route someone else did in December from the west (near L’Anse) but that road wasn’t plowed 4 miles from where they started.

So I had to drive an hour to reposition from the east instead of the west (avoiding unplowed roads) to take a Plan B route that wasn’t documented online but that I thought might work. Turns out it did work but required 11.5 miles RT of snowshoeing including 4 miles of slow going breaking trail in deep powder and 4 miles back that same way. taken in Upper Peninsula, Michigan by @adamblocker3

Hiking Volcanoes in Guatemala 🇬🇹. I did Tajumulco, Acatenango, and Santa Maria - the highest, 3rd highest, and 5th highest volcanoes in Guatemala.

Pictures from Acatenango (13,045 ft) are first. Summitted Acatenango then went to the highest safe point on nearby Fuego (active volcano) - 7,000 ft vert in a day. The views on this hike with the undercast clouds were incredible, we could see almost all of the other major volcanoes in the country - even Tajumulco over 50 miles away.

The next set of pictures are from Tajumulco (13,850 ft), the highest point in Guatemala and Central America. Did it on New Years Day so it was more popular than usual and the Guatemalans were celebrating by setting off fireworks from the summit. Tajumulco is off the beaten path near the Mexican border. As the 24th most prominent peak in the world it also offered incredible views. This is also my 11th country high point.

Last are a few pictures from Volcan Santa Maria near the city of Xela, the town of San Lucas Toliman, and the city of Antigua Guatemala.

Overall Guatemala was great for me. Met a lot of cool people and in general Guatemala is very different to how the US media and government portrays it to us. taken in Guatemala by @adamblocker3
