On july 27th 2023 was the best night ever and the biggest life accomplishment to remember! On june 27th Queen city news / fox46 reporter John Le reached out to me on direct message on IG at first i didn't Believe it because of all the spam i deal with but i gave it a try! Making the arrangements it also started with a phone call and on july 7th was the big day! When i first started this page around 2014 it was mostly about me posting usual dumb young people stuff but i decided to take a more mature route, When i started i felt i was the only one doing this for the immediate area and there where ups and downs not many where aware of this kind of photography in my area then. Through it all persisted i through it all with god's grace and protection and vision for my life. Doing this i hope it also reignites our childhood passions to pursue our dreams of becoming something great for the community in emergency services or better yet honoring the work our first responders put into our nation 24/7 through the equipment they use. After the years 2015 and 2020 i felt my page needed to be that voice of reason to show through all the carnage there is someone out there on cyberspace / the community that still believes all first responders are valued and appreciated. Taking that stand when it was needed the most no matter what it cost me. Never in a million years did i think i would be on TV but it just goes to show you when god closes one door he opens another in puts you in such a high place you don't have time for the past. For the next post it's the Re-Capture of CFD engine 10 " The Rock" of the central west part of the city! Battalion 3 Engine 10 is a- 2019 Spartan / Smeal (2000/500/30F) Engine 10 alongside Rescue 10 and battalion 3 are located just outside of uptown charlotte center city on WIlkinson BLVD  with access to northbound and southbound directions of I-77 and parts of I-277 responding to mostly MVA's and Medical runs. In addition to being home to the other rigs station 10 contains the department's dive rescue resources. I think it's been about two years tops since I captured engine 10 but here is my return in great quality! For the next CFD post it's a return to Charlotte fire station 21 of the westside Re-capturing Engine 21 of battalion 6! Engine 21 is a- 2015 Spartan / Smeal (2000/500/30F) 4 Hurst eDRAULIC Tools. Engine 21 serves the westside of charlotte alongside brush 21 and foam 21 cross manned rigs that cover a 11.71 square miles of land that includes the neighborhoods of Pawtuckett / Wildwood west / Coulwood West / Westchester / todville / Parts of Paw Creek Neighborhood, serving more than 23,000 residents and 8,000 households in their area. Station 21 also serves high risk zones such as an area known as "tank town" home some of the cities largest concentration of bulk flammable liquid storage facilities which is why the station has a dedicated foam tanker truck placed here. The area also includes warehouse and distribution operations and the colonial pipeline facility. Engine 21 responds to all kinds of calls to medical runs / MVA's fire calls and many more, in the year 2025 station 21 responded to 3,000 calls. Engine 21 returns to service a month after being out for mechanical issues. Enjoy the captures of engine 21 ya'll! For the next new rig it's the brand new brush 21 of the Westside! Brush 21 is a- 2024 Ford F-350 / Anchor Richey build. Here is the second new brush truck placed into service this time at station 21! Brush 21 replaced a 2001 Chevrolet 2500 / 100 gallon water tank which was ex brush 25 and 33. This cross manned truck serves alongside engine 21 and foam 21! Here is the next new rig that is brush 29 of the southwest side of Charlotte! Brush 29 is a- 2026 Ford F-350 / Anchor Richey build. Brush 29 returns to station 29 after three years after CFD decided to donate the former brush truck to the broad river VFD as a gift to after their former brush truck was destroyed by hurricane Helene. 29 takes the place of the late ladder 29 which went on to be ladder 13 as the station became more grass and brush oriented, today it's just engine 29 here plus ATV 29. On part three of the new Pierce ladder trucks added onto the CFD fleet is ladder 45 getting it's first official and original apparatus! Battalion 9 Ladder 45 is a - (F92404) - 2026 Pierce Enforcer Notched 7010 6x4 (2000/500/20F/107' Ascendant rear-mount) (SN#43974) (Modified stock) Ladder 45's new rig started service the week of june third 2026 responding as a single ladder company serving the hidden valley community south of station 27, 45 was originally started using ex ladder 26 and beginning at station 15 until it's new firehouse was completed officially in october 2025 allowing the shrinkage of the coverage area for station 27. They then switched rigs using ex ladder 39 until getting there new rig this year in 2026. 45 also joined a newly redrawn battalion map that is B-9. ladder 45 was also officially featured at the NC Mid-Winter Chiefs Conference 2026 in Concord NC where people got to get first look access to this rig and many others prepping to go into service! Well as explained in the last posts these are stock rigs that will be replaced by custom speced rigs placing these in reserves to replace aging and dwindling spares. As we learned already this Is only the beginning of what pierce's new contract with CFD has to offer so stay tuned for what's next! Here is part 2 of the three new pierce ladder trucks to enter service continuing with tempo pictures of the brand new ladder 32 of Ballantyne / South Charlotte! Battalion 7 Ladder 32 is a- (F92405) - 2026 Pierce Enforcer Notched 7010 6x4 (2000/480/20F/107' Ascendant rear-mount) (SN# 43975) (Modified stock). Ladder 32 went into service the week of May 21ST 2026 replacing a 2015 Spartan/Smeal aerial (2000/400/30/105FT) 4 hurst eDRAULIC tools, the second out of three new pierce stock ladder trucks to go in service this year in 2026. Ladder 32 got a much needed replacement after having to mutual aid for other stations in battalion 7 since the addition of ladder 39 in 2024 reducing the strain off of 32 and 24 placing a third ladder in the battalion, because of the mutual aid needs and handling calls in it's area it caused the old 32 a lot of break downs before replacement. Now as explained in ladder 20's post this truck will be replaced again by a custom speced pierce ladder making this truck a reserve and replacing some aging spares. It's time to hear about the latest rigs entering into service at the charlotte fire department! Starting with the brand new ladder 20 of south charlotte / montclair south area!  Battalion 5. Ladder 20 is a- (F92403) - 2026 Pierce Enforcer Notched 7010 6x4 (2000/480/20F/107' Ascendant rear-mount) (SN# 43859) (Modified stock) Photographed on april 7TH 2026 is the first look at the new ladder 20 which continues a new era for the charlotte fire department, officially switching from spartan/smeal to pierce. Within the same week ladder 20's new rig went into the service in the same week as mentioned above replacing a spare that kickstarted ladder 20, Ladder 20's installation was first created on november 8TH 2025 formerly using a reserve truck formerly ladder 26 and 45 as first apparatus; to replace that truck CFD purchased a stock ladder company which will be replaced again by custom speced rig. This goes the same for two other stock pierce ladders the department purchased, Once replaced those rigs will then go to reserves to help replace some aging spares.  As you already know the first pierce to return to CFD was Ladder 2 a 2025 Pierce Enforcer 6000 (2000/200/107' Ascendant tractor-drawn) (SN# 39615). Presumably coming next year is the first look at CFD's new pierce engines set to replace select engine companies! Ladder 20 was created to take the strain off of station 26 and station 16, Station 26 is near I-77 north and southbound directs including parts of I -485 assisting station 26 multi alarm emergencies there or being quick shots for MVA's for either direction of the interstate while improving response times and availability for the areas they serve. Now this is one out of three new ladder trucks your about to see from me so stay tuned for the next two!
