4 weeks since its release, landing directly at no.3 on the ARIA Albums #Charts, an #AustralianMusicPrize Nominee, #AlbumoftheWeek on RRR, and #FeatureAlbum on PBS FM and 8CCC FM, it’s tough to pick a fav track on this debut album collaboration.

Adalita (Magic Dirt), Marty Brown (Art of Fighting), Mick Turner (Dirty Three, Mess Esque), Mick Harvey (The Birthday Party, The Bad Seeds) have done wonders here, it’s all a very real and timely vibe, making “Strange Love” another standout album release of 2025.

One of my fav acts from Naarm / Melbourne, for their originality, lyrical depth, and strong collaboration as a band. And always a joy to work on songs written and sung by Lisa Salvo. This album is carefully honed in all ways, with strong intention. Turn it up!

I got my start in #CommunityRadio as a teenager. Jumped right in with cassette tapes, 12” singles and borrowed LPs.

Playing album tracks and B sides from a caravan studio. Literally #DiggingDeeper (pre-hashtags).

Outside broadcasts. Interviews with artists. Wombats chewing through the landlines to the transmitter on the mountain during test transmissions. Then from a converted railway station. Even during a siege.

The latest unique and dreamlike sounds of third album “Jay Marie, Comfort Me” for @mess_esque (@Mick.Turner of @therealdirtythree with Helen Franzmann @mckisko ) out via @dragcityrecords was a joy to tweak and assemble – as were the previous two LPs “Mess Esque” and “Dream#12” (via @bedroomsuckrecords ).
