Adam Eaton Art in Collaboration with Image City Photography Gallery is proud to present “Black Is... Beautiful” an exhibition of fine art portraiture by Photographer and Creative Director Adam Eaton, opening reception Friday, September 11th 5:00pm - 8:30pm. Eaton celebrates Black beauty, identity, and lived experience while inviting viewers to reconsider how art and culture shape what society recognizes as beautiful. At the center of the exhibition is Eaton’s ongoing portrait series and recently published book, Black Is... Beautiful. The project reflects his belief that every person deserves to be seen with care and intention: “You are beautiful. You are worthy of becoming art.” “The goal is not transformation,” Adam Eaton explains. “It’s capturing the true essence of the person, the beauty we don’t always realize or recognize.” Black Is... “You’re beautiful... You’re a work of art.” I said that to a woman who had been told her whole life she was “too Black.” Imagine walking into your home and seeing a book on your coffee table that reminds you, every single day, that you are a work of art. Black Is Beautiful is 192 pages of fine art photography honoring the depth, diversity, and magnificence of Black people. Each photo is a celebration!! It’s a love letter to the Black Community.
