POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

"Well well well, you must be GutenBOWGUHH"

What an absolute ride this show was. From the hats, songs, and crazy moments in-between, this is a show I will keep with me for a long time.

My summer started out with two contracts (as shown in a previous post I made) Annie and The Wedding Singer. I originally thought that was it for me this summer but BOY WAS I WRONG!

I heard they were looking for a replacement for the Bud track in Gutenberg, and so like any sane theatre person I heard they needed auditions sent as soon as possible and proceeded to find the bootleg to research what the hell this show was about, memorized the side I needed to perform, and threw jellybeans at a wall all in one day...and I got it!!

Four days before the first rehearsal I got the script and the score and just started memorizing and practicing like MAD!

Now that the show is over it is kind of surreal, we spent both so much time and so little time in that tiny space. Without a doubt in my mind you can see and feel the heart and soul that was poured into this show.

I will not be able to say or describe it in the way my heart feels, but thank you. Thank you to Lawrence for giving me a chance and letting me do the most insane shit on stage I have ever done, Thank you to Wesley for helping me sound good (and for getting the WHHHAT correct), Thank you to Ericka and Kaidyn for supporting me through this process, and a massive thank you to my partner in crime Jacob for playing with me and laughing with me through this. I truly hope we all work together again at some point.

Big thank you to those that saw this show, I hope it resonated with you and I ultimately hope you had the best time.

This show makes no sense but there is one thing I took away from this show, the power of dreams. The song in the background is the closing number of the show, and it's beautiful, a ridiculous phrase of "We eat dreams" that means the world to me.

So you reading this, if you have a dream, go for it, because dreams are delicious. You deserve to eat them💙

SRU 2026💚🤍

This still is surreal to me that it's over. But as the song says this is just the end of a beginning and the start of another. I will miss everyone and cherish the memories of being here. You all made me feel seen and welcome.

I will leave with a quote that rings in my head from a show that is still so near and dear to my heart:

"Into the Woods it's time to go
I hate to leave, I have to though
Into the Woods-its time, and so
I must begin my journey"🌳

Love you all and WOOO WE DID IT!!!

"Someone is on your side...No one is alone"

Golly goodness what a show this was. I loved absolutely every second I got to be on stage and work with the cast and crew of this insane show. I remember when I first watched into the woods and was thinking, "Man this show is so fun! Look at these fun fairy tale characters going on an adventure!" And boy was I ever so wrong and right at the same time.

This show has shown me so much humanity in the world of musical theatre, even if we are a bunch of fairy tale creatures, we are LIVING as these fairy tale creatures with so many crazy twists and turns and laughs and tears. This show without sounding tooooo cheesy, has meant the world to me.

Thank you to the cast and crew for making a dream come true for me, this process would not have been possible without everyone!

If you came to see the show, thank you ever so much for supporting our theatre program and if you didn't I am still sending all the love to you because as this show has proven LIFE IS HARD.

Making it to things is hard, completing tasks is hard, even getting up in the morning can be the hardest thing ever.

So whether you saw or didn't see this show, the song I have playing over this post still stands, no one is alone.

You are not alone, and if you need someone by your side, the Baker is here with you in the woods💚

"How do you do?"🗡️🩸

Still can't believe we are closing this amazing show, but it's been an absolute blast to work with these remarkably talented people. We only have a few more shows and I don't have a CLUE what will happen, but I know it will be hilariously incredible.💙
