Jesus Christ loved us so much that he went through the ultimate hardship, the ultimate suffering just so we could have relationship with him. He died on the cross purely out of love.

What that means for me is that I can look at hardships with a smile on my face.

Not because of anything I’ve done but because of the way I am loved, how my identity is sealed, the truth of my eternity and how through difficulties I can honor the Lord and become more like Jesus.

Feeling so loved and supported by those close to me, having encouragements screamed at me by all my friends and seeing the results of depending and abiding daily reminded me of the gospel, the relevance it has to all people and what it enables us to do.

“Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope,”

“Rejoice, O young man, in your youth, and let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth. Walk in the ways of your heart and the sight of your eyes. But know that for all these things God will bring you into judgment.”
