I felt so wonderful creating this look for this mesmeric girl.

She had a very cool and kind energy - I was transfixed and my brushes took over and created something that what was truly “her” Our energies gelled and this was the result.

STORY OF CREATION ~

Created with a wonderful team -
Exploring the weathered patterns of rock formation, the rings of aged trees & oil slicks.

Rough raw elements of nature that flowed. A random discarded knitted garment floating on the surface of the ocean. I semi closed my eyes and squinted and I let a fine, heavily loaded eyeliner brush glide around the orbital bone.

With full focus I preened the fluidity to add a certain amount of control.

Having @joryalmaiman sat in my seat was such a highlight for me.

We created together what I call the “anointed beach” look.

Imagine you are on your favourite beach - you’ve relaxed, you’ve meditated and you’ve totally let free. You’ve used precious ancient oils to soothe and protect you skin. And with Arabian tradition you’ve smudged kajal around your eyes - to protect your eyes from the glaring sun.

You are glowing and radiating from within.

We layered different finishes of voyeur gel liner - solstice, Cave and obsidian. No precision here. I wanted a slept in, languid and an “all day relaxed beachy look” We finished with smudging Scattered light in Ray onto the lids.

Ray is interesting because it a bronzy taupe (very modern tone) with a glint of silver crystal. So it’s warm and cool alike.

Finished with obsess shape and sculpt lip liner (which was her constant favourite and was obsessed with it) and smoothed out the lips with echo and spell Phantom Blur Balm.

Layered soft focussed setting spray for gleaming and blurred skin.

They say never meet your idols…

Yesterday I did… and I vehemently disagree.

I remember becoming aware of @hindash when his face was blazoned onto the tallest building in the world @burjkhalifa - I was on holiday here at the time.

And what a full circle moment for me… having a picture taken with Hindash at our very special @hourglasscosmetics event at the @thelanadubai , with that very same building in the background.

Been an admirer of his work ever since.

The PURE joy this girl gives me. Everytime I visit @sephoramiddleeast @malloftheemirates she gives me the warmest and most excited welcome. So fun, a true bright light on that shop floor.
