Alexis,

Today, we were supposed to turn 21 together — just like every other birthday. But on August 20th, 2025, your beautiful soul went to heaven. Now you can finally rest, because in your 20 years here, you never stopped moving. You were always grinding, chasing your dreams, and you inspire me to do the same.

You went through more than anyone should ever have to, yet you always kept a smile on your face and a positive mindset. Nothing could break you.

Nothing about life feels the same without my twin cousin here with me. I’ll never forget the laughs, the smiles, and all the memories we shared. There’s not a single day that goes by where I don’t think of you — and I’d give anything just to talk to you one more time.

Writing this still doesn’t feel real. I never imagined I’d be making a post like this for you. It feels like a goodbye, but I don’t want it to be. I hope our paths cross again in every lifetime.

So cheers, Lex 🍻 — this beer, the next one, and every one after that is for you. My birthday will never just be “my” birthday… it’ll always be our birthday.

Love you forever, Alexis Katharina Forrer ❤️ by @adampioch34
