Today marks my first day as a fully independent adult. Today also marks the start of the rest of my life.
I would not have been able to get to this point without the constant support from my family, friends and of course, my baby Cudi.
This journey has been a constant battle and has been filled with adversity, trials and tribulations; yet here I am.
I want to extend my gratitude to anyone who has had a part in shaping who I am today and furthermore, I want to extend my promise that I won’t let y’all down.

Though you weren’t here to raise me into my teen years or past, I can say that I’ve made it 18years into my life. It hasn’t been easy, and there have been incredibly dark patches these past few years. Dealing with the loss of the two of you has not only been the hardest challenge I have and probably will ever have to face, it has also brought sadness on a daily. Holidays pass, birthdays pass, important milestones in my life pass by without having you there by my side— and it’s hard. The love I have for you continues even now when all that I have of you are memories and photographs. I want to thank you for everything you did for me. You may not have been able to shape me entirely, but you did teach me perseverance, you taught me grit. From watching you struggle paying our bills, to watching a single mother work only two days a week to support her three children, I saw the lowest of lows, and yet we still got through it. You are my inspiration and you are what pushes me every day. I’m 18 now, and I can’t say that this is a day that will just be of happiness. This is a bittersweet. I wish I could know if I’ve made you proud, that I’ve exceeded your expectations, but that’s something that will always remain unknown. Thank you for the unconditional love you gave me. It’s been an unforgettable journey. Over these past four years I’ve had so many amazing people come into my life to shape me into who I am today. I can’t extend enough thanks to express the gratitude I have for these people here, and many others. This is the end of my time at Salem High, however this is just the beginning of the rest of my life. It’s all love I have for these people. Peace out Salem High!

It’s been a long, tough four years here on the Salem High Lacrosse team, but it’s something I would trade anything to run it back and relive. I want to give my thanks to amazing teammates like @_bharv1020_ @casey_williamson13 @ramon_31901 and @darwin_fernandez32
