I was raised by my abuela to think that the @dodgers are Los Angeles 💙

As I sit in my Hideo Nomo jersey, i cant help getting choked up about the Dodgers winning the #WorldSeries. This is a team that has meant everything to me.

My parents met at the Top Deck on a warm summer day at Chavez Ravine, so like many other families in the City of the Angels, the team was ingrained in everything we did. My grandma and my mom saved money to take us to games and buy us Dodger caps.

After the final out, i called her and the two of us had a good cry reflecting on all the near misses and heartbreaks of the last 32 years.

This win is for her and all the rest of our gente who bleed blue. Vamos los Doyers. taken in Los Angeles, California by @adamserrano

Imaginémonos Cosas Chingonas •

@ch14_’s statement of self-belief and defiance in the face of doubters has always inspired me and countless others across the globe.

His words resonate deeply with Los Angeles and it’s Mexican-American population. In creating this video, we sought to truly represent LA’s Chicano culture and the Galaxy’s deep ties to the community.
It was a true honor to bring this video into the world and it is only due to the amazing and tireless work of @bmaningat , @kurt.stoffer, @chrishybl, @vickymercado , @christhomasfc , @brendanhannan, @bradpsyche, @robertmoraphoto, @ederbez & @CousinFeo that it was possible. taken in Los Angeles, California by @adamserrano
