A gentle reminder; if you don't like the cabinet nominees or if legislation is up for a vote and you want to share your views and influence it, an easy and effective means of contacting your representative is calling their office and telling them your opinion. If you're uncertain who your representative is you can use the link below to find out. Remember your congressperson works for you, not the President. One of their primary concerns is being reelected and maintaining their power. https://www.congress.gov/contact-us Once you know your representative you can call the central switchboard at 202-224-3121 and be connected. We've included a few highlights from "Indivisible: A Practical Guide to Democracy on the Brink" by @adamsnest
Today feeling heartbroken, and pensive. We have the privilege of operating a business and summering in Provincetown. As we woke to drive to Florida yesterday, we were bombarded with headlines of another mass shooting in one of our safe spaces. On our drive we passed large confederate flags flanking 95S, a billboard reading “God Bless President 45”, endless billboards touting Jesus’ love, our sins, and the need to repent, and a large one that read: 81 Million Votes, yeah right! ILLEGITIMATE Stolen Elections have CATASTROPHIC Consequences We regularly share the words of Anonymous Queers' text from 1990 in our shop and in particular our t-shirt with the paragraph that begins: "an army of lovers cannot lose"; swipe for further text (the full manifesto is linked under our profile "QUEERS READ THIS". Just before closing for the season, we received the newly published "Army of Lovers" from K.M. Soehnlein. We just finished reading his blog post where he shared some of his own thoughts and wanted to share some of his words from yesterday: "Let this be a moment when we recommit to justice, equity and progress. Let this be a moment when we educate ourselves more fully and listen where we need to learn – especially to trans and gender variant voices. Keep up the fight, not only electorally but in our conversations, our community practices, our everyday advocacy. The backlash is strong, deadly strong. An attack on any of us is an attack on all of us. Take every opportunity to speak up and stand tall." High on hopium and nauseously optimistic. We woke early to do laundry and finish packing up to leave Provincetown. Upon opening our email and IG, we received shots from Lucy and Garith. A huge thank you for sharing. The gratitude for the community we've built over the last decade is immeasurable. While cleaning up the shop, we happened to find a postcard we printed leading up to the 2016 election; featuring art originally created by The Silence = Death Project in 1988. #vote #democracy #liberty #justice #equality #happiness #courage #rage by @adamsnest
That's a wrap! Thank you all for your support, for sending your friends our way, and for a terrific 11th season. Make sure everyone you know has voted.✊🏼❤️🇺🇸🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️😘 The shop will reopen by Memorial Day Weekend 2027. If you're still in Ptown, I'll be in the shop getting organized throughout the day. by @adamsnest

Today is the penultimate day of our 11th season with the shop in Provincetown. @adamsnest launched four days following the shooting at Pulse in Orlando, and the summer before this regime first got into office. Our mission has always been retail with purpose; supporting all members of the queer community and the causes that we hold dear. We know the next several weeks are certain to be a bit unnerving, to say the least. We've put this quote on the back of our "Democracy Needs Your Courage" and "Queer American" tees: "I'm an American who believes in liberty, justice, freedom, and the pursuit of happiness for all." If you cannot embrace that message, how can you call yourself an American? If you've yet to place your vote, vote for democracy over dictatorship, then make sure everyone you know does too. by @adamsnest
🎃👻🐻 It's Spooky Bear Weekend in Provincetown! People always ask if it's a good weekend to visit, and our refrain is always "gays & costumes, need we say more". We've always loved this Larry Kramer quote, and we've got a variety of "GAY" items, whether you want to proclaim it loudly or in stealth fashion. The truckers and dad hats are in-store in Provincetown, and the rest of the collection is online only. The shop is open Friday through Sunday 11-5, visit us if you're in town as Sunday will be the last day until Memorial Day weekend. https://adamsnest.com/collections/gay #larrykramer #gay #lgbtqowned #queerowned by @adamsnest

The shop is closed today in Provincetown, and tomorrow we open for Spooky Bear Weekend. This Sunday will be the last day the shop is open until May 2027, though you can shop online year-round. by @adamsnest
I just had Langston in the shop with his two dads. They all left with "GOOD TROUBLE" tees and I shared these quotes with them, as he was named after Langston Hughes. Seemed apropos to share. "James Mercer Langston Hughes was an American poet, social activist, novelist, playwright, and columnist from Joplin, Missouri. An early innovator of jazz poetry, Hughes is best known as a leader of the Harlem Renaissance. Growing up in the Midwest, Hughes became a prolific writer at an early age." #langston #langstonhughes #america #kind #goodtrouble by @adamsnest
