Artist spotlight: Adam Void...These works are on view as part of our current exhibition, We Call This Home. I've been showing (and a fan of) Adam's work since 2020, when he first submitted to the open call for our deep-Covid-era online exhibit "Quarantine Folk." To me, Adam's work exhibits mixed influences of true outsider art, graffiti, picnic table etchings, and off-the-grid anonymity. There's a natural genuineness to his hand that remains consistent throughout his vast body of work. In addition to painting, he also creates zines and musical recordings. Follow the @cutinthefence account to see some of his writing and Xerox-machine scrappy scrap booking. All good stuff. ...Come see this set of recent paintings, alongside works by Sally Cali, Steph Becker, and Skyler Smith, now through June 7th.
