Following my graduation from @sewanee_univofthesouth this May, I’m proud to announce that I am headed to Rockland, Maine, to join the 2026 crew of the @schoonerladona.

I’ve spent the last four years at Sewanee analyzing how complex natural systems function and thrive. This May, I’m moving into the maritime industry to adapt those logistical and management principles to a historic 1920s racing vessel.

Operating a 100-year-old schooner is a lesson in mechanical precision and environmental awareness. I’m eager to get to work in Rockland and embrace the steep learning curve of life under sail. And yes, I will be bringing a banjo with me.
