13 to 15 November: Cumbria 🏔️
20 to 22 November: the New Forest, on two wheels 🚴

These aren’t just events. They’re how people in our community test their limits, learn what a challenge really asks of them, build strength, and work out what to train for next, with an experienced team and a community behind them all the way.

Your donations help fund that support: the kit, the experiences, and the continuing backing for the veteran and disabled community.

And not all of it is seen. Behind every photo is a quieter challenge: the tiring days, the doubt, the parts nobody films.

That’s where community matters most, and right now it matters more than ever.

Want in? Taking part, cheering from the side or backing us from afar, there’s a place for you. Join us or support the team: link in bio.

We’re so proud ⛰️

@adaptivegrandslam just finished their trek with us and we couldn’t be more proud to say how awesome they were going up the mountain.

Everything they did and each step they took really just showed and proved that if you set your mind to something you can do it!

Huge congrats to all of you for being so persistent and present 🙌

From adversity to adaptability 🫡🌅

That’s the journey. Not a straight line, not an overnight one, and rarely seen from the outside. It’s the hard days, the setbacks, and the people who turn up for you anyway.

That’s what Adaptive Grand Slam is about. Over the next few months we’ll share more of the people, the challenges and the story behind them.

Could you be a sponsor? Donate via the link in bio. Next up: Cumbria, 13 to 15 November.

Day one on Kilimanjaro.

We completely understand that, based on the most recent content from this trek, you might think the @adaptivegrandslam team danced their way up Kilimanjaro 😂

But do not fear, they were moving pole pole. They just made sure to stop and enjoy themselves along the way.

Plenty more from this trek to come 🙌

Making our way through the images from the team’s Kilimanjaro adventure is giving us so much joy. 🥹

What an experience. What a team. What a vibe. ⛰️🇹🇿

(Also…turns out getting your luggage back from an airline is harder than climbing the highest peak in Africa. 😅🧳)

Golden hour on Kilimanjaro ☀️

We recently had the pleasure of hosting the @adaptivegrandslam team on the mountain, and safe to say they brought plenty of energy with them.

We’ll be sharing more from the trek soon, but for now, here’s one of those moments that says pretty much everything without needing much explanation.

Guides, porters, trekkers, a bit of singing, a bit of dancing, and clearly absolutely no one enjoying themselves whatsoever!

It’s time to share another post and I feel this one needs a special shout out! To my guide Frank, too all the porters and other guides! They work so so hard on the mountain and for the families, whilst having nothing. I was just genuinely amazed to see how happy, they were just singing and dancing whilst having nothing! Seeing the other side of town, just made me feel so sad. People having nothing, there was times I tried not cry because of how different things genuinely are there to here at home. Being there, it really makes you really think things differently, and makes us realise how lucky we really are to have everything. I don’t think I can take anything for granted, and I hope I could do little something just to help them a little bit every now and then.

To the main guides, they were just so happy, and genuinely so lovely always smiling. They would sing and dance all day, during our walks to keep our spirits high, they would be even helping one of us individually throughout the days of the climb.

We had porters on the mountains that each had their own role too, such as main porters (taking our main bags up and some of their own things), porters taking tents up and down and making them for us before we’ve even got to base camp. Porters taking camp chairs up and down for us all. Porters that checked our BP and SATS in the morning and night to make sure if we could continue the next day. Porters taking toilet roll up and doing toilet duties for us all. Porters, taking all food up the mountain for us to base camps. We have Chefs on the mountain that just did a fantastic job on doing the food! The chefs even gave us tea, coffee, hot chocolate in the morning before having breakfast! Dish pot people on the mountain. We had some people on water duty for us all, they would give us a hot water bowl and soap so that we can wash ourselves every morning, and after doing our hike. On cold nights, they would even put hot water in our bottles to keep us warm at night in our sleeping bags.

Last but not least Frank, my guide. You were genuinely amazing and I’m so grateful and thankful that I got to meet you on the mountain. I hope i can meet you again one day 🥹 taken in Mount Kilimanjaro National Park by @adaptivegrandslam

WE BLOODY DID IT!! 🇹🇿⛰️

On Friday morning I summited Mount Kilimanjaro the Highest Free Standing Mountain in Africa, at 5,895m with the Adaptive Grand Slam team. Everytime I keep thinking about this it makes me tear up, that I have actually done it! As you can tell in some of these pictures of summit, it took so much out of me, and I am unbelievably proud of myself for achieving this!

Months of training, believing in myself, and dedication all paid off!! 🥹🥹 I would genuinely say that was the most mentally, physically and emotionally challenge of my life. With lack of sleep, exhaustion, dehydration, altitude, walking in dark and lots of sickness, but I pushed on no matter how hard it got.

When you want to do things in life, you just got to put one foot in front of the other, and walk “pole pole”. Was there a few times I wanted to turn around? Yes there was but everytime I kept going and believing in myself, remembering that I am SMALL and MIGHTY, and a very strong young lady 💪🏻 having the best team on the mountain with me to encourage and support.

Thank-you so much for all the lovely messages, people supporting me on my journey, and donating to my just giving page for the AGS.

I am going to keep it open, so please consider donating so Adaptive Grandslam can give more people opportunities to prove that they can achieve the unthinkable! I landed safely into UK this morning, and I have finally arrived back home 💞

I am going to in a couple of days, post my experience days of Kilimanjaro! taken in Mount Kilimanjaro by @adaptivegrandslam

The team are on their way home... and it turns out the journey back is almost as much of a challenge as the mountain. Delayed flights, long waits, tired legs, and still the same spirit. Adaptive, of course (possible fuelled by the odd pint) 😅

Once everyone is home, rested and settled, we’ll be sharing their reflections and insights from the trip. Those stories deserve to be told properly, in their own words.

In the meantime, here are a few highlights from the album so far.

So many incredible moments. So much energy. Team effort, support at every step, and the culture of Kilimanjaro shining through: the singing, the laughter, the crew who carried, cooked, cheered and checked in on all of them along the way.

Swipe through. There’s a lot to be proud of. ⛰️🇹🇿

Welcome home, team. We can’t wait to hear it all.
