Feels absolutely mad to be writing this but I’m delighted to announce I am now a Puma athlete for the 26/27 Hyrox season. Thanks to my second place at the Hyrox World Championships in June, I have joined Puma’s PROJECT PODIUM.

I’m hugely thankful to @pumatraining for this amazing opportunity and am really excited to see what the next year brings, in the lead up to the 2027 World Championships in Hong Kong. To follow this journey I’ve started a new account, @adaptivejude, which I would love you all to follow. I’ll give you a Freddo as recompense if you do, promise.

Doing this all for that baby in the incubator, who doctors thought might not make it. Look at us now 💪🏻

Now that I’m back home and cooped up with a heavy cold, I’ve had time to pick out some highlights of an amazing week exploring the countryside, culture, and cuisine (notably, Lay’s Campesinas) of Asturias and Bilbao with Much Better Adventures 🇪🇸

The guides were fantastic in adapting activities to my disability which allowed me to feel included throughout the trip. The week included hiking, kayaking, paddleboarding, caving, and canyoning. I couldn’t manage the e-biking as my legs were too short but that’s probably for the best. Lance Armstrong I am not.

It’s been a busier summer than expected so my training has taken a bit of a nose dive the past couple of months. What a way to get it going again with the first of @crossfitleeds monthly Endeavour class. 2 hours of pure fun, honest! 🥴

With just over 13 weeks until Hyrox Excel it’s time to #lockin #hustleandgrind and channel that man on a podcast with a ridiculous daily routine.

Second place in my division at the Hyrox Adaptive World Championships in Stockholm🥈🇸🇪 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 49:04

What a day. Over 8 minutes off my time at Olympia in March and PBs in my worst stations. Delighted with the result in hot conditions🔥

Growing up I saw my disability as a barrier and thought I was useless at most sports.
Yesterday I got my qualification email for the Hyrox World Championships.

An unforgettable (and painful) time at my first adaptive Hyrox.
The biggest in history and a first place podium in my adaptive category (because I was the only one to take part but 🤫).
