People often ask me what it’s like to climb without fingers and with prosthetic legs.

Honestly? Most days, I’m just thinking about the next hold. But also, never impossible.

Climbing has never been about having the “perfect” body. It’s about solving problems, trusting yourself, and continuing upward one move at a time.

At 20 years old I was given a 20% chance of survival.

Everything I knew about my life was suddenly completely different.

But today, I am a Paralympic gold medalist.

I passed the Jamie Schanbaum Act in Texas to protect other college students from what happened to me.

I am rock climbing, running, and chasing LA28.

Tomorrow marks one year since I said goodbye to Billie. She left this world loved, comfortable, and still herself. As heartbreaking as that day was, I’m forever grateful I could be there for as she has been there for me. I’d do it all over again for her. I miss you every day, sweet girl.

Mallorca(Spain), you were a dream. I miss you and I can’t wait to see you again. Innsbruck(Austria), you were the cherry to my sundae.

It’s been a few weeks since I jetted out to Europe. And I can’t wait to do it again. But in the meantime, I’m grateful to be back in New York and to settle back into my routine.

Europe, I’ll see you next year. And maybe every year.

I’m a new para climber competing internationally… and it shows. 😆😉

Spoiler alert: these qualification rounds were short.

But every competition teaches me something. Every route exposes a weakness. Every weakness becomes a goal.

I’m not chasing perfection—I’m chasing progress.

And honestly? I’m having way too much fun to quit now.

Ain’t nothing like a post-comp glow

Innsbruck is in the books.

I’m learning to give myself grace. I’m competing against experienced professionals athletes and I’m still very new to this sport. In all fairness, while I didn’t get as many points as I wanted, I am improving and got more points than last comp in SLC. Yay progress!

The best part? I’m genuinely enjoying every moment of this journey. Every competition, every route, every mistake, every lesson.

This season has shown me just how much room I have to grow, and honestly, that excites me.

For now, it’s time to rest, refine my technique, build strength, and get back to work.

Japan, I’ll see you in November. 🇯🇵🧗‍♀️

Being that I’m a new New Yorker, I gotta say I feel so lucky to root for this team. I came from Texas, grew up in Dallas where I was a Mavs and Cowboys fan and man, they barely won any titles since 2011, and 1996, respectively. Then I went to UT the year after Vince Young dominated at the rose bowl in 2006 vs UCLA. UT hasn’t really been that good ever since, no offense yall. I will always have Love my original teams in Texas like the Mavs and Cowboys and UT.

But to move to New York three years ago and be part of a city where each team sport does phenomenal and gets closer every year to the final games is truly amazing to experience and I appreciate it. The Knicks, the Rangers, the Yankees. It’s truly amazing. I started watching the knicks as soon as I moved here and damn, what a great series. Especially game 4: what an incredible comeback. That game and the UCLA versus UT game in 2006 are the top two games I’ve ever witnessed in my life.

I had the great honor of working with @gsk on their most recent project, the "mening-Itinerary!" I'm really proud of the work they created for this campaign, and it was even more fun to do it with the talented actors @itsjuliebowen and Ty Burrel. All of us were on the same team, sponsored by GSK. This video is incredibly amazing, captivating, has such great storytelling, and provides information on meningococcal disease, known as meningitis. Something I fought against while I was in college, and almost didn't make it.
