Ahead of #NationalHIVTestingDay—Saturday, June 27—a new report from @aidsvuorg finds a record 644,170 people were on PrEP in the U.S. last year. But the growth from 2024 to 2025 was the slowest in the past five years and access and uptake are still far too uneven.

A pediatric formulation of @viivhealthcare’s #HIV medication Dovato has been submitted to the FDA and European regulators for review. If approved, this version of the two-drug once-daily regimen could be used as treatment for children as young as 3 months old. About 1.4 million children under 14 years old live with #HIV globally, according to UNAIDS and WHO, however, only half are virally suppressed, compared to about three-quarters of adults with HIV.

“I knew how I wanted my hair, nails, outfit, coffin and what funeral home I wanted it to be at,” writes Kim Canady in a First Person essay for @posaware. “Day by day, one step at a time, I have to remember that I’m here for a reason. I’m in a constant fight with myself to not just be alive but to actually live!”

An emergency law signed by Ron DeSantis partly restores health care An emergency law signed March 24 by Ron DeSantis partly restores health care access for Floridians with HIV after the state tightened eligibility for the AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) and removed Biktarvy from its formulary, citing a $120 million shortfall tied to federal funding cuts. This is a stopgap measure, in effect through June 30, as lawmakers work toward a new state budget for the 2026–27 fiscal year.
