An object in motion stays in motion

That just about sums up my entire 4-H career. This program has kept my life moving at a thousand miles an hour, just the way I like it.

Awards:
🥈Reserve Grand Champion Market Goat Showman (Senior and overall)
🥇Grand Champion Market Lamb Showman (Senior and overall)
🥇Grand Champion Breeding Heifer
🥇Grand Champion Beef Showman (Senior and overall)

This year I had a lot success with showmanship across multiple species, illustrating just how hard I work at it. I have the lord to thank for all of these amazing animals, and of course, all of the beautiful people that I get to be surrounded by through it all.

A huge thank you to the King Family and @macy_107_ for allowing me to show their heifer Baby Chick. It allowed me the opportunity to compete in the species that has my whole heart one last time. ❤️

I was able to show that lovely red heifer with my grandfather’s show halter. It was missing a few pieces, so I went ahead and added the back strap customized with his last name. Just another way to honor the family legacy.

Blue jeans and big dreams folks

Man what a year,

Indy won Reserve Grand Champion Market goat and will go off to state fair as a breeding goat in the fall. I won showmanship with her which punched my ticket to round robin.

Bristol placed 3rd in the medium weight class for lambs.

Daytona placed 4th in the heavy weight class for steers.

And yes boys and girls, after many years of trying, I finally took home the master showman buckle. What a way to go out.

I am so thankful for everyone that helped me throughout the week. Especially Vince for taking time out to capture these incredible photos. I was blessed to have this set of animals and blessed to be able to share this week with the people I love. Thank you all and God bless by @addi_garver

The good lord blessed me with three amazing market animals this year. Meet Daytona, Bristol, and Indy.

Daytona is such a sweet and gentle boy. He’ll lick you to death if he gets the chance. He was my easiest steer to halter break and train, and he was truly a natural from the beginning. He is so silly and always makes me laugh. I love him dearly. I couldn’t have asked for a better final steer.

Bristol the lamb is a gorgeous girl. She always worked well for me. I fell in love with the lamb project last year and she was a constant reminder of why I love the lambs so much.

Indy is the beautiful little doe. This pretty little girl was very jumpy and nervous at first, but over time she developed into what I would say is my best showmanship goat ever. I was very excited to see how she would perform at fair. I knew I had a good little goat on my hands. She will be used for breeding and will be shown by my brother in state fair in the breeding goat class. She’s on to big things.

We don’t want pennies and nickels, only dimes ✨✨

Put up
225 on squat (PR)
125 on bench. I attempted to break a state record with 135 and fell short. But hey, if you don’t fail one you ain’t trying hard enough.
275 on deadlift (PR)
123 bw

Total of 625 taking 3rd 🥉

Definitely had more to give, but I came and did what I planned to do, and made it onto the podium. Big thanks to all of my coaches and teammates for the support!!

The team took 2nd with all 5 qualifiers making it onto the podium. That’s pretty badass if you ask me. What an incredible showing we had 💪

Success is in the journey, not in the destination

I have fallen head over heels in love with this sport. I am so thankful for everything it taught me, the people I met, the relationships I built, all of it. I came so far from where I was a year ago, and I wish I had more time to continue this journey, but I am so proud of what I was able to accomplish. The result wasn’t what I hoped for, but I won’t let it define my entire season. A year ago I wouldn’t have dreamed of being where I was this weekend. I am so blessed to be a part of this team and have such supportive coaches and teammates in my corner. I found a family with them. I love you all so much and I couldn’t have done any of this without you. 🫶

This is the end and of a chapter in my life. And by god it might just be one of the most important chapters in my story. What a privilege it was to wrestle…

Well, boys and girls, there’s no season like show season…

Fair week + My first edition of Senior Sunday 🎓

🐐: As always, the breeding and market goats kicked off the livestock shows. My breeding goat (Hela) got reserve. I won senior showmanship and ended up in the grand drive with my brother. Lil bro pulled through and finally beat me out. I’m proud of him.

🐑: Next up was lamb. My lamb won first in his class and moved on to the grand drive, but fell short. Showmanship followed, I took grand for seniors and grand overall for lamb showmanship. This was my first year in the lamb project. He was such a joy to work with and was so well behaved for everyone. I’m going to miss my sweet boy so much 💔

🐄 The heifer (Smokeshow) won her class but fell short in the grand drive. She’ll have another shot at state fair. The steer (Hoss) took second in his class and worked beautifully for me in showmanship.

I got to spend this week around some of my closest friends and favorite people. I consider these people to be family. I appreciate their constant support and willingness to help. I love you all dearly. 🫶

And of course, a huge thank you to @vintorrespics for the beautiful photos. I dedicate so much of my life to these animals and it means so much that he is able to capture all of the hard work paying off with them. They serve as a memory.
