🔬👏🏾 NIGERIAN-BORN SCIENTIST DEVELOPS GOGGLES THAT MAKE CANCER CELLS GLOW DURING SURGERY!

Meet Dr. Samuel Achilefu, a Nigerian-born Black scientist who helped develop special goggles that allow surgeons to see glowing cancer tissue during surgery.

Known as Cancer Vision Goggles, this technology uses a special fluorescent dye and near-infrared light to help doctors spot cancerous tissue that may be hard to see with the naked eye. This gives surgeons a clearer view as they work to remove cancer.

His work shows how science and innovation can help doctors improve cancer treatment and potentially save lives.

Black Man Uses Home Cameras to Fight Rape Claims From White Neighbor — Now He’s Taking the Case to Court

John Edward Marks III, a Black man from Manvel, Texas, was accused of raping his white neighbor, Amanda Zawieruszynski, in November 2023.

But Marks says cameras at his home told a different story. He claims the video showed that the encounter was consensual.

A Brazoria County grand jury later chose not to indict him.

Now, Marks and Freddie Douglas Jr. are fighting back in federal court. They are suing the woman, the City of Manvel, and police officials, claiming they were falsely arrested and their rights were violated.

In 2026, the legal fight continued. The court blocked attempts to question a Texas Ranger and denied a request for an immediate appeal of those decisions.

The woman’s separate lawsuit against the men was dropped in 2024.

As of October 2026, no final outcome of the federal lawsuit has been confirmed.
