Our story is the faithfulness of God —
As some of you may know, Wayde got sick with what started out as cold/flu-like symptoms. A few weeks passed and symptoms continued. We ended up taking him to the hospital, and we found out that he had a rare bacteria in his blood that caused blood clots in his kidneys and spleen, which led to a week long hospital stay. After being discharged for a week, Wayde woke up on January 24th with a slight headache. As the day went on, the headache became worse and he began to have other unusual symptoms, like blurred vision and nausea. We took him to the ER to get a cat scan of his head. We discovered that he had a fairly large brain bleed and was care flighted to Indianapolis where he underwent emergency brain surgery. The surgery went perfectly and he is recovering amazingly well. Wayde Sickels is a walking miracle. We have literally seen God’s goodness, protection, provision, grace, and healing power before our very eyes. There is so much more to the story and we could spend hours sharing about every detail we have seen God’s hand on, but right now, we want to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts. For the prayers, the encouragement, and for the generous financial support. It’s times like these that make you so grateful for your community. Wayde is out of the hospital and excited to tell everyone about God's goodness and faithfulness. We have a road of recovery ahead of us with multiple follow-ups with our amazing team of specialists. We expect nothing less than Gods best which means a perfect, speedy, and complete recovery, and total restoration in Waydes body. Keep standing with us!

happy birthday to my sweet husband! I am so thankful to be building a life with a man who's after God's own heart. he is wise, a leader, loves people well, and is a true friend to the people around him. he is my biggest inspiration & encourages me to dream God-sized dreams.
