California’s rushing attack and defense led the Trojans to a 26-6 victory over Baldwin in Section 2 flag football play on Wednesday at Trojan Stadium in Coal Center.

California sophomore Addie Day led her team in rushing with over 80 yards and a touchdown. Ninth grader Meadow Meier threw touchdown passes to fellow freshmen Aubrey Cellurale and Lila Mitchell.

Cellurale and sophomore Kylie Johnson had converted on extra points.

Junior Hayley Gibson’s pressure up front forced the Highlanders to throw two interceptions, as Mitchell picked off a pair of passes, including one that was returned for a touchdown.

Meier and sophomore Bella Smith had multiple tackles at the line of scrimmage. The Trojans improved to 4-5 in section and overall play, while Baldwin dropped to 2-8 in division and exhibition action.
