I am still so shocked by how Close I was, I wasn’t expecting to get on part of the barricade for the walk-in. At this point my phone was at like 6% so I wanted to make sure I was recording the songs I really wanted.

Hearing helena was fucking phenomenal. I was not expecting such a top-tier song to be played first. This song being played first was so sad because it’s a tribute to their late grandmother and it’s about mostly regret.

Boy division is an interesting song to me because I like it and I don’t like it, but I really do love the message that it sends about the music, industry and mental health at the same time. It helps me analyze, self-destructive tendencies.

Killjoys make some noise, I really do love this album this whole song is practically like fuck the consequences. Let’s just go have some fun.

I love the subtle like Power Ranger reference. So they’re all in different colors like the Power Rangers and the Power Rangers do that like the formation thing and I just think it’s fucking hilarious.

I was not expecting for them to play one of my favorite songs ever. I was trying so hard not to cry. A lot of people know that this song is a tribute to his wife in a way. It’s also for himself because he’s talked about how she didn’t know if he was happier because he didn’t have time to be unhappy.

I love how it’s like blocking out the world to focus on the one thing you love. When the chorus starts I always cry. It is such a beautiful song.

To the end, was not on my bingo card in the slightest. I do love how it’s based off of a book or a short story actually. In the story, she basically kills her husband because he was in love with the other men…

I honestly should’ve expected Hng ‘em high because of the cowboyish intro, it’s so fun. I love it.

I was really hoping for the light behind your eyes, but I will take surrender the night anytime.

The second half of the concert was so amazing. I really loved a lot of of the Lore that was going on. A lot of the funny skits on stage like it was just an amazing experience all around. I loved the black parade getting knighted. The whole “I’m not doing it” sequence. I did forget to record house of wolves and teenagers.

Rip the gentleman

Cancer is definitely in the top five tracks of this album. Lyrically and instrumental it is a masterpiece. The lyrics hit hard. It feels like a knife in your chest and the instrumental is so calming yet devastating. I literally could not stop crying.

Mama is a very interesting track to me. It’s about a soldier at war. People resonate with this song for different reasons for me. I like the ideas of since knowing that we’re all damned by the sins of war we might as well make the time we have left worthwhile. I know a lot of people tribute this song to their transgender experience. When I look at this song through that lens, it makes me really appreciate how differently people experience the perspective of songs and just life in general

Now for every single concert, Gerard has a habit of pulling out a pamphlet and reading it and it’s always different at every concert and it just extends and adds Lore to the story of the tore

Sleep! Is such an interesting track because a lot of it is based on Gerard’s inability to sleep while recording this album because it was recorded at the Paramore mansion, which is rumored to be haunted. My favorite part of this song are “ cause there ain’t no way. I’m sorry for what I did” and “ just sleep, the hardest part is letting go of your dreams”. it’s a call back to mama and how they don’t regret fighting the war that they’re in. The other half of the lyrics brings us back to the reminder of that the narrator telling the story is dying trying to find peace with it

This is by far one of my favorite tracks. The patient is reflecting on his life and how it started good and went horrible, even mentions a good memor taken in San Antonio, Texas by @addison.h.25

Waiting all day to be able to experience this concert at the barricade was worth it. This album means so much to me and I’d like to explain my interpretation of the following songs.

The End start off with the slow beep of a heart monitor and it’s such an amazing start to an album that explores the themes of death and suffering. I like to think of this first track as a cry for help knowing nobody can save you

Dead!!! this song, starting with a flat lining of a heart monitor is the saddest thing ever. I love how the theme of this song is just about literally not caring about any negativity or what anybody else in the world has to say. “ no one ever had anything nice to say. I think they never liked you anyway.”

My favorite part about this song is the ending of it. It’s kind of just like losing your sanity and just laughing at Lady death in the face. “ if life ain’t just a joke then why are we laughing?” that alone just feels so empowering.

I know not a lot of people care or know of the lore but this was such a lore heavy moment

This is how I dispear, is one of the saddest tracks on this album. So immediately calling back to the song before it, since “no one ever had anything nice to say or like them anyway” no one’s going to remember them when they die. It’s such a sad cry for help asking your loved one not to leave and remember you but also it gets really sad in the end because he’s like losing his mind “ you wanna see how far down I can sink let me go” It’s like testing someone’s ability to stay while you drown by the weight of your sins.

The sharpest Lives to live is personally really hard for me to listen to because the themes of this song tie into alcohol abuse. Asking for the next shot to kill you or rather for Lady death to take you away before your loved one leaves because of how bad your alcoholism is and feeling like you can’t get over it by yourself. Crying for your loved one not to leave in hopes that they can help you get over it. It’s also a really good callback to one of the earlier songs “so you can leave like the sane abandoned me” this album has a really good way of looping back by @addison.h.25
